This week's Featured Article is Diana Bennett.

Diana is a controversial character from Beauty and the Beast TV series fandom. She was introduced in the third season of the show, after the death of beloved fan favorite character Catherine, as a potential new love interest for Vincent. This caused quite a stir in the fandom at the time. In response, some fans rejected the third season outright. There were some fans that liked Diana, but just didn't like her in a romantic relationship with Vincent. To avoid the issue they would include Diana in their fanworks, but they would label them "Diana Appears as a Friend".

Featured Article: Dracula (1980 zine)

This week's Featured Article fits right in with spooky season, it's Dracula, the 1980 zine edited by Lori Chapek-Carleton.

The Dracula zine was focused mostly on the 1979 film "Dracula" starring Frank Langella, although other Draculas were also represented. It's an anthology that features a variety of fic and art, including a Star Wars crossover which was later nominated for a Fan Q award. Although it was intended to be an annual zine available every year around Halloween, only one issue was ever published.

This week's Featured Article is the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The Hollywood Walk of Fame is a series of stars embedded in concrete and bearing the names of famous people. In the past it was not uncommon for fan campaigns to raise the funds to purchase a star for their favorite celebrities. Notable examples being stars for many of the actors from the original Star Trek series. This practice has since fallen out of favor, and is now mostly handled by PR firms.
