season 3 leaves us with the byers family and el leaving hawkins, and that’s pretty much where i’m starting all my headcanons from the following is all my own interpretations and headcanons, pls bear w me
they moved up to queens, new york city --- jonathan had always wanted to attend nyu, and joyce just wanted to get out of a town that held so many memories of heartbreak and grief. she’d been considering the move since bob’s death, and hopper’s apparent death pushed her over the edge.
will didn’t really care much, tbh ??? he would’ve loved to stay, just so that he could’ve stayed with his friends but an unconscious part of him wanted to run, to leave hawkins and never look back. while the town will always hold an enormously special place in his heart, there’s a section of it that unnerves him to no end.
his transition into a new school was fairly easy. no one knew him --- there were no echoes, no calls of ‘hey, zombie boy!’ to follow him down the corridors ; it’s comforting and disquieting all at once. he finds himself a spot in his new school’s av club pretty quickly, falls into an art club and digs himself a place in a bustling environment. he’s left alone, for the most part --- there are bigger fish to fry in this school, so he slips by under the radar and the peace is what he appreciates most. he can sit in an art room that smells of crayons and wax paper for hours, then disappear into the av room and tinker to his heart’s content and he isn’t chased by a horde of prepubescent bullies.
spoiler alert: the byers don’t hack queens. joyce isn’t happy, and while jonathan’s busy he doesn’t seem to have quite the same spark in his eyes. so, two years after their enormous move, the byers family hitch their wagon back to sleepy little hawkins, a town they once swore never to return to. will’s --- well, will’s delighted, tbh. he’s missed his friends, missed his town, missed it all and he’s not entirely disappointed when his mother sits him and el down and reveals to them that she’s taken up her old job.
so ! my darlings have been back for two years now, and things feel normal. their lives are finally settling, and it feels good.
will’s finishing up his last year at hawkins high, and he’s got no idea what he wants to do afterwards. he’s considering writing children’s books --- he’s always had such an affinity for storytelling, such an ease with words, and it makes sense. he’s got an entire fantasy world lingering behind the back of his eyelids, why not make the most out of it ?? alternately, he’s considering some kind of scientific career but at this point, he’s just trying to survive his final year.
he’s growing kinder as he grows older, if that’s even possible. he’s always been painfully kind, chivalrous to an irritating degree, full of something sacchariferous that he can’t help but extend to others. he’s the one to carry old ladies’ groceries across the street, to offer to buy a child a new ice cream one if they drop one. he’s too nice for his own fucking good.
he’s still an absolute nerd, though. he’ll always prefer to spend the night at home, munching on popcorn and watching a few good movies. he doesn’t tend to go out much at all ; doesn’t

➤ So, here is the tall glass of Serpent water! Sweet pea is the fighter of the younger Serpents and pretty much does anything he can to revolve his life around them proving he is completely loyal to them and his closest friends.
➤ We don’t know anything about the Serpents in season one besides maybe someone bringing up they are thugs who do crime on the other side of the tracks. But obviously that is not the case the more they are introduced. But I am going to work on what little we have with Sweet pea and add in a few things of my own that I think make him more interesting.
➤Sweet pea was born a Southsider and shows that is his legacy, he hates the Northside (more so in the beginning before Jughead joined in season 2) because they resent the Serpents and consider all of them thugs and miscreants, sure, it’s a bit of a contradiction and he doesn’t give some of the more understanding Northsiders a chance but they haven’t shown him any reason too… not yet at least.
-From what we are given, he lives in a small trailer alone and has no parents around. I would guess from abuse or just mistreatment. His father was heavy on the bottle but when he was a kid he went off to war with FP Jones so get better chances on money, the only thing is he died at war leaving Sweet pea and his mother alone and due to this his mother slipped into drug abuse leaving Sweet pea 100% dependent on himself; at least until FP took him under his wing and introduced him to the Serpents a few years back and this is where he found his true family and he became devoted to them and willing to do any job or task they need of the boy while he also gets himself in dumb situations with his friends.
➤Sweet pea has been shown being both a total brute; fighting ghoulies and Northsiders whenever he can, standing up for the Southsiders when they were being pulled under the bus, or just destroying property when he gets angry; he solves justice physically and irrationally which is not always smart but he feels he’s only good for his strength. Sweets has a lot of problems seeing good in himself even though there is more love in him than anyone will ever know he just shows it differently. Instead of being emotional and letting his feelings out the boy is extremely protective and quick to react to violence if the people he loves are threatened.
- Sweet pea has always had it hard when making friends. Of course, the younger Serpents hang out with him but his intimidating personality and hard to scratch surface doesn’t let many people in. H O W E V E R, there are two Serpents that literally means more than the world to him. Toni Topaz: Sweets met her first, in kindergarten and the two have barely been seen apart. This girl has been through every dark corner sweet pea has ever been in and when he says he can’t live without her he means it. They consider each other their soul mates. She is his calm, when he’s about to explode all it takes is one word from Toni and he instantly steps back. She really is the love of sweet pea’s life. Then there is Fangs Fogarty: he is the second person in sweet pea’s life that sweet pea let in and will never let go of. Sweets knows Fangs can always protect himself but that doesn’t stop pea from doing it too. Fangs is the softest one in the trio and pea treats him like a brother often doing wild and reckless things as long as toni isn’t there to knock some sense into them or patch up their wounds when they hurt themselves. If there ever was a poor fool to mess with fangs or Toni they saw hell in sweets’ eyes and would pay for it.
-We’ve recently seen the softer side of Sweet pea though, when he has shown he wants to be in a real relationship, his love for Fangs and Toni, and the fact he wants to see the Serpents strong. I have the idea that due to experiencing abuse and thinking he was alone he stands up for anyone who is in a bad position and will give the clothes on his back to anyone who needs his help.
➤It’s not canon but from the way he is shown to always be in the front line of the younger Serpents I always imagined he wants to be able to climb the Serpent ladder and be a big leader of the gang at some point which is going to really be his main focus in life until more plots come, while he will always remain loyal to the people who have never done him wrong. There is nothing that can make him stray from the serpents.
➤For extra money to pay the bills for his parent’s trailer Sweet pea runs product for the Serpents. He is young so he is usually seen at parties and any thing that is directed toward teenagers who need a fix. This is the only reason he goes to these events because he really doesn’t do the whole big group scene. Over the summer he has picked up some hours at the local garage as a mechanic. He knows a lot about cars and is always finding scrap pieces to keep his old truck running. He has a motorcycle as well but his truck serves him better unless he is trying to show off.
➤He despises the Northside; not only because more than half the town only believe the lies they have been told but because every Northsider is better off than anyone from the Southside and even the people who claim they don’t mind the Southside not one of them has ever tried to help out to make the place Sweets calls home a better place.
AFTER THE SWITCH:
➤After finding himself in Hawkins he’s only confused. He has only been around for a few days so he is really just trying to wrap his head around this whole thing. Yah boy has never really left the Riverdale/Greendale area so imagine how he feels in a place that doesn’t even exist in his world or time even.
➤ So, his background with his parents is the same but now he’s just been abandoned by his mother but instead of being stuck on the Southside in Sunny side trailer park he is in the Hawkins parallel version of the southside which is the outskirts in the trailer park by the Junkyard. He is still in the Serpents and not much has changed with him disliking most of the people who live in Hawkins and are more privileged than him.
➤ He was lucky and had a good amount of cash to get him through the week at the Hawkins junkyard trailer park but hes running low on funds and might need a place to crash and a job. So far he’s really interested in the Arcade, he loved the nostalgic (lol not so nostalgic) games and figures it will pay enough to scrape by. He is more than used to doing it at Sunny Side trailer park.
➤ Find Pea scarfing down a burger at Benny’s but something in him feel like something is missing. He sometimes thinks that he needs a milkshake to take it down with... but nothing ever suits his tastes. Is this the parallel pull he feels making him crave the all famous Pop’s burgers and shakes? probably. This is where pea goes when he feels homesick. Benny’s never fully helps but for some reason it’s the only place he feels a bit closer to what his body has been screaming for Riverdale food.

Jughead doesn’t know about magic, but he could already tell something is off.
Just like in the show, he lives to write about mysterious occurrences such as this. He considers writing about Hawkins his next project. He will find that that this town also has a lot of its own secrets.
He also wants to know how he can get back to riverdale, but it seems like there aren’t any clear answers. He doesn’t even know how he got to Hawkins in the first place.
Decided to take a job at Hawk Cinema, reminiscent of his days at the twilight drive-in.

After the move, Jonathan finally got his wish to attend NYU.
The move wasn’t that easy for him since that meant abandoning everyone and everything he never knew. However, it meant a fresh start for his family.
He just thought it was ironic that he was finally taking his father’s advice and living in the city.
He did enjoy his years at NYU because it wasn’t full of the same faces who picked on him in high school. He majored in Photography.
He took a lot of photos when he was in New York, often taking weekends and holidays to visit museums and parks.
The rest of his family decided to move back to Hawkins after two years of staying in New York. Jonathan stayed to finish his bachelor’s degree
He had a couple jobs lined up in New York upon graduation, but he was rejected from all the positions. Some interviewers found him unsettling, which did upset him somewhat.

PERSONALITY
☽ Toni is the definition of ‘get you a girl that can do both’. As a member of the Southside gang scene, she’s got a tough side to her. In comparison to some of the others, Toni’s quite even-tempered. However, she will still always stand up for what she believes is right. She wants to keep the peace, but she’d never throw away her integrity for it.
☽ She is extremely loyal. It doesn’t take long for her to attach to someone and make a solid bond. (see: Jughead Jones) Sometimes it ends up burning her when she can’t/won’t walk away from situations and people she clearly should.
☽ Compassion, empathy and love are all important qualities to Toni. She wears her heart on her sleeve, even if that sleeve happens to be a leather jacket. When being pushed away, Toni reacts by trying to break down walls. She doesn’t believe anyone deserves to suffer alone. Her loyalty and stubbornness only adds to her desire to slip through defences.
☽ She is fiercely protective over those she holds close to her heart. Mess with her friends and you’ll have to deal with her. Standing up for those she cares about will often override her even-temper and pull out her more reckless and impulsive side.
☽ Toni’s sense of humour is very witty and sarcastic.
☽ Photography. Toni loves her camera. It’s a way to save happy moments and cement people in her life at a certain time. Even if they end up leaving, she enjoys having mementoes to remember them by afterwards. BACKGROUND
❀ Born and raised on the Southside, as well as having a long family history of Serpents.
❀ Thomas Topaz, her grandfather, is from her dad’s side of the family. Just like her uncle.
❀ Her parents met as Serpents. Her dad carried on the family tradition of joining young and her mom had just moved to Riverdale on her own. She took up residence on the Southside because it was all she could afford. A neighbor took her under their wing and introduced her to the Serpents. They were still in the gang when they had Toni.
❀ tw death mention. Both gave their lives for the Serpents (i have no idea about the specifics of it all but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯) Her uncle left after that.
❀ Toni saw joining the Serpents as the perfect opportunity to honor her parents. She never asked her uncle, she just came home with her jacket thinking he would be proud and she doesn’t understand why he locks her out for the first time.
❀ Their relationship carried on like this. They’d disagree on many things and he would lock her out whenever he felt like it. Sometimes only for a day, sometimes longer. Toni just adjusted and took it as a part of life. She had enough friends willing to give her a roof over her head for the night when she needed it.
❀ While it may be a better idea for her to move out and stay somewhere more stable, Toni doesn’t want to officially give up on her uncle. Besides her grandfather, he’s the only living relative she knows. Her mother’s side of the family never reached out for their daughter or granddaughter. She knows he’s scummy. His homophobia and hostility to the Serpents invalidates two huge things of his niece. Out of fear about losing the last of her blood relatives, she tries to make excuses and justify him to herself/her fellow Serpents. She keeps trying the lock in hopes he’ll leave it open for her.
BEFORE HAWKINS:
❖ Everything Toni self-identified with has changed. She never tries to dismiss her roots in the South but she moved into Thistlehouse with Cheryl not long before being moved to Hawkins.
❖ More upsetting, the loss of the Serpents. Toni now leads a girl gang called the Pretty Poisons. Started by Cheryl. The sense of community is nice and Toni will always support female empowerment, but it’s not the same as the Serpents had been for her.
❖ That desire for family and community is what Edgar used to fully draw Toni into The Farm instead if staying on the outside to spy for Betty and keep Cheryl out of trouble.
IN HAWKINS:
✶ To randomly wake up in other town, there has to be something sinister going on. Toni learnt from Riverdale to never trust the small and innocent look of a town.
✶ Toni is desperatley searching for the people she used to know back in Riverdale. Any chance of making loose ends meet and getting answers is appealing to her. She also doesn’t want to feel like she’s alone.
✶ Though there was a divide in Riverdale, Toni believes uniting is their best course of action. Especially with the two gangs. In unity, there is strength. The words had been drilled into her head and she’s hoping they’re still right.
✶ She’s suspiious of the town, but she knows better than to take it out on the residents. Having a new influx of people showing up out of nowhere all at once would be distessing. If anyone knows their way around town and the way things usually worked around here, it was a local.

alright , so i know a lot of people don’t know much about jughead : the hunger ( which , omg . it’s so good . pls read it . i love u ) , so i’ll do a run down of arch’s history in the comic ! otherwise , you can read the series HERE for free , or read about the series HERE .

archie’s story picks up like any other day in riverdale --- he’s in a booth with the gang , they’re grubbin’ on some burgers , fries & milkshakes , and all seems to be well ! it’s just ... a killer known as the riverdale ripper is at large , and so the gang’s got a newfound curfew forcing them home a little earlier than usual .
little ol’ archie will walk himself home that day , but ... he doesn’t want to be alone that night , not after the news of yet ANOTHER victim falling prey to the riverdale ripper . so , regardless of curfew , he’ll walk to jughead’s house . it’s in this moment that he’ll watch his BEST FRIEND of NINETEEN YEARS transform into ... a fucking WEREWOLF . archie proceeds to watch as jughead murders one dilton doiley .
this ... obviously leaves arch in hysterics . he runs toward home that night with SOBS choking him , his mind racing , unable to even BEGIN to form a cohesive thought . before he knows it , he’s racing past his house , trying to make sense of what he’s seen . he wants to believe it’s his imagination , but ... it was real . it happened . jughead jones was the riverdale ripper ... but it wasn’t just that . he was a WEREWOLF , of all things .
of course , archie doesn’t sleep that night . just , runs it off until he feels like he’s able to muster SOME type of plan and accord . the following morning will find archie andrews sat on the steps of the andrews household , in the same clothing as the night before , eyes fixated on the pavement in front of him , tears still staining his cheeks .
it doesn’t surprise him when jughead shows up that morning , & the first thing arch does its tell him that he knows . it’s just ... he hasn’t quite worked out WHAT jughead is , nor is he really given the time to process it before his next closest friend , BETTY COOPER , shows up , punching jughead straight in the face . archie does his best to stop betty , but she’ll push him back , & fucking hell is archie even more confused than before . when betty pulls out a gun , archie will draw a line . archie will step between his friends , declaring that if she wants to kill jug , she’ll have to kill him FIRST . in this moment , archie finds some sort of clarity . he announces that , despite betty’s notion that archie has no idea what he’s dealing with , he believes knowing he’s dealing with a FRIEND is enough . he’ll ask betty to let him in on what’s up , and a long line of jones werewolves & cooper hunters is revealed .
that’s right , archie’s two best friends are sworn natural ENEMIES , & the worst part ? betty reveals she’s always known jughead’s secret , & that it’s the reason she became friends with them in the first place --- to play a part , befriend jughead’s group , & spy on the werewolf boy . she claims it’s grown beyond that --- that she cares for them , which is not what she planned , but ... archie can’t help but feel hurt . he wonders if any part of her was ever real , but in the moment is more concerned with finding a compromise for his two friends . this is when he’ll find a solution --- wolfsbane , from the riverdale botanical garden , to subdue jughead’s werewolf persona , & thus save their group from ruin .
of course , the wolfsbane works . it’s just ... archie supposes jughead is never truly the same after everything , because one minute , things are back to normal , and the next , they’re just not .
as for the rest of his story , long story short is that betty will train archie to fight like a hunter --- from teaching him to shoot a gun with silver bullets , to hand-to-hand combat via her uncle’s help . in no time , arch is ready to kick ass , it’s just ... he doesn’t exactly want to .
archie & betty will only find jughead after they hear of another gruesome murder at a traveling circus nearby riverdale . they’ll tack jughead down , finding him with ANOTHER werewolf by his side ( jug’s cousin , bingo ) and both betty & archie will attack with the help of some fellow cooper hunters .
during this battle , archie somehow shoots jughead enough times to nearly kill him , & this is where he finally draws a line in the sand for himself . after some long , hard thinking , he’ll confront betty . he’ll spew tales of nostalgia & the good ol’ days , where all the gang had to worry about was prom dates & essay grades . now , he may have killed his best friend . and that does it for him . he doesn’t truly believe betty misses those days like she says she does , and while she might be alright with this life , he is NOT . he’ll slide his gun over to the girl , & though he has to talk himself into it a thousand times over , he turns his back on betty cooper that night . at least , for now .

the unfortunate truth is that betty’s facade was not the only thing archie andrews fell for . he fell for her , for the memories they made together , for the girl next door who was supposed to be one of his best friends . now , he’s left wondering what was ever real in all of this , & it freaks him out . the girl he thought he had figured out was not that girl at all --- and it’s not that archie doesn’t accept how things are , now . as the series goes on , he’ll tell himself she’s always going to be the same betty he fell in love with . it’s just ... the issue is he DOESN’T know the truth , & it seems like neither of them are in the business of confronting it . at least , not yet .
for the time being , archie’s just looking at the swap to hawkins as a gift from god . he can avoid his problems a little longer while he’s here , and maybe earn some semblance of the life he’s missed so dearly . this is encouraged after meeting one SABRINA SPELLMAN . there’s something familiar about her attitude , about the way she carries herself ... they’ll start a fling in no time , & archie will settle with the notion that he’s happy this way . ( it’s just ... archie andrews is naive as FUCK . he’ll never be satisfied without jughead , or betty , or pretending things are fine . it’ll always be him , alone at night , left wondering what exactly the truth is , & there’s nothing more powerful than that ) .

hey, guys! i’m sora and honestly, i just binge watched stranger things s2 + s3 just recently (also rewatched s1 tbh), but i might rewatch s3 bc..... i just really like it. anyway!! i’ve decided to bring over suzie because i thought she was so cute and adorable, but wanted to mix in my own ideas for her growing up. so i want to mention in advance that i did have her personality/interests from the show, but changed her development. also, i’m kinda lazy to type up my usual routine of intros, so this is just going to be a bit of a mess and 100% just bullet points tbh. oh, and if anyone wants to plot, please hmu!
she was born on october 9, 1971.
her parents love her dearly and she’d do anything for them. the main topic they don’t see eye to eye, however, is the beliefs of mormonism. while her parents are mormon, which suzie respects, the girl gradually separated from it. nonetheless, she’s currently thinking of what she does believe in. aside from science.
speaking of science, suzie still loves anything scientific. specifically, she’s into plants, galaxies, and anything else involving space.
her dream job is to be an astronaut, while her second dream job is to be an aerospace engineer.
one of her role models is sally ride.
when she was young, she started off as what you’d see from suzie in the show. proud of her brain, walls covered of planets and musical posters, and books she actually read. which is the same to how she is now, but hides it for the most part. she only tends to be “nerdy” around those she’s been friends with since she was a kid, who she met at camp, and dustin.
growing up, around middle school to high school years, she was teased and made fun of for being smart. at first, it was jokes being thrown at her, but the kids became harsher and would at times write mean letters, trip her, play catch with her notebook, etc. she eventually grew tired of it around her sophomore/junior year and worked on learning how to style her hair, wear make-up, and wear the latest fashion trends.
when it comes to camp know where, it’s pretty much a second home to her. ever since she was allowed to attend, she went every year, until she reached 11th grade and chose to take a counselor in-training program. finally, when she turned 18, she was looking forward to being a counselor this summer. until her and her parents moved to hawkins around the end of december.
suzie was quite sad to be leaving her friends and the town, especially since she had childhood friends there, a group of friends she became close to in high school, and just people she’s known for years around salt lake.
she did consider being a counselor for camp know where for this summer, but decided against it to try and save money for future spending when she goes to college. and didn’t want her parents to spend traveling money just to take her since she figured that could go into the money when she’s in college too.
suzie doesn’t drive. she prefers biking because it saves money and it’s better for the environment.
the reason why she likes the hawk cinema is because she’s a fan of movies. her preference is musicals, but she’s also down to watch comedies, family-friendly, romance, horror, and any other genre. two of her favorite movies are wizard of oz (1939) and grease (1978).
not only that, but she’s a fan of plays too. during high school, she’s attended every play that was shown at school. she thought about auditioning, but has stage fright and rejected the idea.
