I had forgotten how wonderful a show “Roc” was before I saw a clip from this episode tonight.

For those unfamiliar, it was a sitcom about a family where the lead was a garbage collector, his wife was a nurse, and his widowed father and his brother lived with them.

And this episode hits HARD. It was usually funnier than this, being a sitcom, but...it was also the very early 1990s and most sitcoms in those days tackled some heavy stuff.

In this case, Roc takes offense to drug dealers who have set up shop across the street from his house, and he isn’t having it. It gets intense.

I want more shows like this on TV. And I hope the cast is doing well these days, because they brought me a lot of joy a lot of years ago and I just...generally hope they are doing okay.
