You’re on KCAL with Seattle’s top radio call-in psychotherapist, Dr. Frasier Crane, the character who got his start back in Boston on Cheers. Kelsey Grammer won four Emmy Awards as the relationship expert who can’t manage his own affairs. David Hyde Pierce plays his younger (smarter!?) brother, Niles Crane – cast after producers saw his head shot and his substantial resemblance to the show’s star. Pierce won four Emmy Awards playing Frasier’s sibling and professional rival – tightly wound Jungian therapist with a bad marriage and a long-suffering infatuation with Daphne Moon, played by Jane Leeves. She’s the plucky working class Brit who cares for the pretentious brothers’ down-to-earth dad, Martin Crane, an ex-cop played by John Mahoney.

Rosalinda "Roz" Doyle She is played by Peri Gilpin. Roz is the producer of Frasier Crane's Dr. Frasier Crane Show on KACL 780 AM. Although initially reluctant to take the job, she and Frasier soon become good friends.

If Frasier was set in today’s 2017 world I feel like KACL would have to be a TV station, and all the storylines involving Frasier moving from radio to TV would instead revolve around him going from TV to online videos like youtube. Roz would remain Frasier’s producer but there’d be additional characters to the show in all the other technical staff, whilst Bulldog, Gil etc. would all be other presenters who filmed in the same studios.
