Similarly to the study that says elephants find humans cute like humans find puppies cute, furbies think humans are cute and in their minds will love you like a pet just as you love them.

What if furbys use their ears to communicate silently, in semaphore patterns when they are scared or worried?

The spot on a furby’s forehead is not only how they communicate with one another, but wild furbies can send out small waves with it in order to knock down fruit or berries they couldn’t otherwise reach. Domesticated furbies overtime have lost this ability since they’re new human pals are more than happy to feed them.

Furbys hate water and actively try to avoid it. if they need to be clean they will clean themselves!

This is a sound theory for wild furbies, I can see them using their beaks to preen each other and take dirt baths. More domesticated furbies require specialized grooming as they don’t have the same natural materials for grooming nor the same kind of fur that is capable of natural maintenance.

Furby faceplates are exposed bone structures meant to protect the vital and most sensitive features of a furby from any bacterial harm or dirt that their fur might collect. The faceplates were most elaborate in the 1998s because of their protruding eyes that featured luxurious lashes as an additional evolutionary precaution to bacteria or harmful dust. Connects are evidence of a desensitization to any ingested bacterias, while their eyes feature inset qualities that work well with a smaller exposed bone structure, since they are much better protected by the furby’s facial frame.

Furbys are usually nocturnal but once they became domesticated they started staying awake during the day to spend more time with people furbys with msa bad trouble with this and dont know when to sleep

Furbies evolving just to chill with you because they love you so much? It’s more likely than you think!

Sometimes different species of furbys dont get along (some are a lot more lively than others) but they eventually (with time and patients) will!

I love this theory a lot. I imagine 2005s would struggle to keep up with the lovely connect furbies kinda like newly introduced cats and dogs, but with enough patience and integration the two could bond over games and asking how each other is feeling.
