It’s scheduled to start in less than an hour while I’m off to go watch the Seahawks suffer again

augh this bothers me so much that people blame cal in the beta timeline for bro being shit to dave, cause if you ask me that was NOT the case.

if you take a look at dave's house you see a cork board covered in newspaper clippings and pictures all leading to sburb, abd KNOWING that bro is dirk and just how dirk behaves, either way bro would've found out the connections to sburb and it's those connenctions that make him raise dave like shit.

why? well here's why. dirk as we well know id a prince of heart, aka a destroyer of self through his actions. we also know that dirk pushes both himself and his friends to their very limits, and as shown with jake, he has a tendency overestimate people's limits, causing harm to their very being from what he's forcing onto them, and the final important thing we know about dirk from the robot he sent to jake, is that he tends to put a person's sense of self SECONDARY to their physical capabilities.

"yes KK we already know this" you may say, "but how does that validate bro knowing about sburb cause for him fucking up dave and not cal's fault?" well here's how

Bro found out about sburb and likely found out that dave would be a player (hell he likely ordered his copy of sburb either as a back up in case dave lost his [if bro knew he couldn't be a player] or to enter and help dave himself, which he honestly did anyway) ahem, anyway, when he found out dave would be a player he wanted dave to be safe and to SURVIVE, so, he raised the perfect sburb player, but completely destroyed dave's self due to overestimating his limits, similar to what dirk did with jake. In his defense, he was honestly doing his best to care for dave and doing what he thought was the most loving thing he could for dave.

"ohhhhhh, but that doesn't mean cal wasn't involved in telling bro about sburb" you may say as I sigh.

before I mentioned that bro was likely to find out EITHER WAY with or without cal. cal did NOT in my opinion influence this behavior cause think about it, while cal was "filled" what exactly DID he do? stare at people and be creepy. That is literally it unless bro was moving him. Caliborn made cal being filled seem like much more of an issue than it really was, caliborn was LITERALLY JUST TROLLING PEOPLE WITH A PUPPET.

"but KK!" you may call out as I groan "Cal was contolling bro to make him move his puppet body! It wasn't a trick!"

Well ya know what? Dirk was still able to do that whenever he friggin wanted with an empty cal and hell even fought like that once or twice, and considering the sheer fact that bro grew up in normal society it would make sense that he's do it even more often firstly to earn cash on the street doing puppet performances, and also if he wanted to fight he wouldn't get caught. I mean would any police officer believe you if you said a puppet in an orage suit mugged you? Yeah, he just wouldn't.
