rambling i feel is relevant to this piece that i dont want to keep in tags: this piece was done in around 1 hours time! ive been bothered by the fact that i dont even finish and post any drawings anymore, so i set a 1 hour timelimit on this drawing! (granted, my timer reset in the middle, so it ended up being like 1 hour 15 minutes but pssshhh who cares) i think it turned out pretty good for the time, and even if it doesnt look good, i feel like i benefit from the experience a lot :-) in the future any timed drawings will be under the tag #1hour

30 Days 1 Language Challenge • Day 1

This is from Twitter, but I might as well post it on here. The aim is to do at least 1 hour of active study each day of May. Yes I’m starting a day late, but ehh it’s fine haha I’ll just do an extra day afterwards.

I spent my hour today starting a translation from HSK1 short stories, it’s on kindle, and I printed off screenshots to write on.

Even if it’s just a few words, any degree of recognition in text is good progress. Whether it is 爸爸妈妈, 我是 or something else, recognition is recognition. I’m going to go over my time a little today, but that’s just to translate the unfamiliar words into my word bank.
