For this animation, I wanted to do another illustrative style and mingle with lip syncing. I wanted to do a bit of environmental animation and animated the volcano to make the animation look livelier. I really like the style as it looks like it could be in a children’s book.

For this animation. I wanted to create an illustrative style animation. I wanted to not use an outline, but decided to, to help with the lining layer. I really like the painterly style brushes Krita provides for free and used them for the background and the bird itself. I was inspired by short dance animations I saw on TikTok and wanted to make the bird do a little dance as well.

This is one of my favourite animations by far. I really wanted to push myself for each animation. I wrote a few prompts to see what animation I would do next and chose to create a character drawing out a blade. This is one of my original characters that I created, with the help of an online game for the outfit. I’m really happy with the outcome for this animation. It’s like she’s preparing for battle.

I wanted to practice my background art for this animation, and play with an animal human hybrid character, so I chose a cat. I really like this style that I came up with for the cat character as well. I wanted a muted colour palette to match the characters fur, so that the animation looked cohesive. Because I spent more time on the background this time, this animation took longer to do. I do want to focus on shadows and highlights next time as well.

This animation took me over 4 hours to do. Initially I was going to animate a hand coming out of the tv, but because I’m not very good at foreshortening, I decided to do a tentacle instead. Using the Mixkit website as my sound reference site, I went on their stock videos and used one of the videos of people gaming as reference to create this setting. Even though the character isn’t animated, I wanted to play with light and the different layer modes on Krita.

For this animation, I went back to basics and did a ball, but zhuzhed it up and made it a tomato instead. I created the background and the banana character as I created the animation. I was going to add a sink as well, indicating that this was set in a kitchen, but I left it out after I added in the pool of tomato juice because I didn’t want the background being too overcrowded.

One of my bigger weaknesses is animals, for this animation I looked at references of tigers walking to get a basic understanding in how four legged animals move. I notices that the animal's legs are abnormally skinny, so I thought to change it from a tiger to a strange creature instead.

I really like the result of this animation, because it tells a story in 25 frames. I looked at different stock videos and saw one of a man pulling a shocked face. I was trying to find short horror sound but found the sound that I used for this animation instead, and decided to change the narrative of the animation of a girl becoming possessed by something.
