CU Boulder police arrest woman who reportedly made racist comments

University of Colorado Boulder police have arrested the woman believed to be the person caught on video using racist language toward black students over the weekend.

“In the video, the woman accuses students of “stalking” her and calls them racist slurs several times. A professor then approaches the woman and tells her he will call campus police unless she leaves.The incident has sparked calls for reform at CU Boulder from black student groups.“

Mike Johnson Says Americans 'Misunderstand' Separation Of Church And State

“When the founders set this system up, they wanted a vibrant expression of faith in the public square," the newly-minted House speaker said.

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; "

That is perfectly clear.

Congress should not make ANY laws based on a *particular* religion. You don't need the words "separation of church & state" (which Jefferson said was the intent in another document) for that to be exactly what the framers intended. (They also made many private statements specifically rejecting the idea of the U.S. being a "Christian Nation.")

Otherwise, when we pick ONE religion to base laws on, such as Johnson's Christian religion, and excluding atheist views, Jewish views, Buddhist views, Islamic views, we are establishing a STATE religion over other equally valid (or superior) belief systems.

Johnson is a lawyer. Lawyers can't resist playing games with words and trying to change the meaning of sentences that are perfectly clear to win their case.

Johnson wants a theocracy. He says Americans are "depraved."

Americans are not 'depraved' for being gay, or trans, or for enjoying sex. That's normal and healthy. Johnson was brainwashed as a child to think those things are bad.

Wanting to force personal beliefs on OTHER people is 'depraved.' Wanting to create a Christian version of the Taliban in America is depraved.

Moms for Liberty members call the cops on Florida librarians

Two members of Moms for Liberty, a right-wing activist group, have reported several Florida school librarians to law enforcement. They claim

One mom who called wouldn't give her name. If her actions were truly defensible she'd be proud to give her name about reporting 'pornography'.
