concept: dan gets choked to death in the elevator instead of meg bc frankly he deserved it & in the sequel, herb gets meg to help him bc he needs somebody with a few brain cells on his side and in return offers to get dan up & running again, thus creating the perfect zombie himbo. dan still wears the flowy shirt. they eventually fight over him bc herb realizes during the process that hes in love with dan too but when he gets reanimated hes like “i have 2 hands” & then the third movie is them learning how to live & love each other as a trio
