Streamer #9 on Flickr.

I wanted to do something along the lines of a golden demon style streamer but did not have any good brown hackle for the wing. so this is what i came up with.black hackle flanked with badger hackle. I wish the wing came out more straighter and not slopping like it is. anyway this is Streamer #9

in my past there lives a beautiful blond boy with feather soft touches and an uncanny ability to make me laugh  in spite of myself. i gave him my heart once or twice which he held delicately for short amounts of time   (for he knew of the fault lines    which threatened to break apart) and we had a habit of picking up the pieces of one another and putting them back together. occasionally i have fleeting feelings and thoughts of worry that perhaps he's fallen below the surface again    (while rare, it has been known     for him to mentally swan dive into     frozen lakes) and hearing his voice anew- feeling his arms and hearing his troubles- makes my heart ache for the times his carefree laughter electrified the air.

i've grown a skin of barbed wire to keep people at a distance and i've lost the  ability to grow roots. a wandering tumbleweed with no home- i'll continue to wait for someone to anchor me.
