On monday morning our daughter went into labor at only 4 months . the baby,a little girl did not make it.this would have been thier first child. they named the baby Amelia Anne. in memory of her,i named this Streamer after her. Amelia Anne.

The Mahony on Flickr.

The Mahony Many Spey Flies catch my eye,and The Mahony is one i really like but have not tied it but only a couple of times.when i finished this fly i sat back looking at it and realized i forgot to do one thing, the head is suppose to be red.i just about cut the thread off. but i had already put finish on it{good old sally hansen}…… so here it is The Mahony with a black head…………. (this spey fly is a pattern by Dec Hogan)

I wanted to do something along the lines of a golden demon style streamer but did not have any good brown hackle for the wing. so this is what i came up with.black hackle flanked with badger hackle. I wish the wing came out more straighter and not slopping like it is. anyway this is Streamer #9
