It's been about ten weeks.
Going on eleven soon.
Probably about time to finally unpack.
Hands on her hips and determination in her eyes, Andrijana stared at the numerous boxes cluttering up her old bedroom, all opened at least once and since then untouched. This was no way for a grown woman to live anymore.
But, for some reason, she'd just been too afraid to bother. She supposed it was the sense of permanence that would come with unloading everything but the essentials. Yes, that had to be it. Who wants to live with their dad forever, right? However, she couldn't deny it was getting pretty hard to navigate around the boxes, especially in the middle of the night. May as well tidy up and save them for another day.
It wasn't long after she started digging through all her junk that she noticed quite a few things were missing.
Panic settled in as she tore through everything she owned a second time. Where the hell was her coin purse? Her headphones? Her favorite perfume? Her diary? All of these little things, just... gone. Oh, god, there was only one other place they could be.
Shaking hands pulled her phone out of her pajama pants pocket and hovered over a certain contact. Andi bit her lip. She really didn't want to call, but some of those things were either too expensive or just too personal to leave behind. Too late. It's ringing. It's still ringing.
It picked up.
"Hey," she blurted out before he could even react, already sick with anxiety. There was no reason to be this awkward, there wasn't too much tension between them. Sort of. "Did I leave anything at our, uh--" Shit shit shit damn it "Your place?" Fuck.
