Jack apologizes to Robert for snapping at him earlier. Robert tries to get answers about what’s going on between him and Andy, and it’s more than about Cain. It’s like he’s scared of Andy but Jack’s scared for him maybe but worried their family. Andy returns and fills Robert in about Cain and the money. Why don’t they just tell the coppers? It ain’t that simple. A frustrated Jack winds up at the pub with Alan encouraging Diane to check on him. Jack admits to Diane he fears he’s losing Andy and went the wrong way with things.

Robert: Where did Harry get it from?

Andy: I don’t care. I just want to get it back.

Robert: Well say he nicked it… Cain. Just tell the coppers. Get him locked up.

Andy: It ain’t that simple, is it?

Robert: Well I don’t know do I? You tell me. It’s dad’s money, ain’t it? How simple do you want it?

Andy is being a prat toward Robert when all he wants is to make sure no more of Cain’s dodgy stuff winds up at theirs 🤬. Jack blasts Andy for not keeping his mouth shut and now Cain knows. But he’s his mate and he was there and Jack wasn’t. All this because Jack lost his money (is he for real?). Andy pushing it back on Jack that he should have just confessed (‘you ungrateful little’). Jack doesn’t understand anything! Afterwards, Andy sees Cain who tells him the money’s been reinvested (a redistribution of wealth) so no can do about returning it. Note gifs will be in a separate post.

Andy: But he’s my mate!

Jack: He’s a poisonous, vicious little rat. I’ve seen plenty like him where I’ve been. Stab you in the back as soon as look at ya. I’d been four months inside, for THAT!

Andy: But nobody asked you to say that you did it, did they?

Jack: No! I said it for you! I sat there in that hole thinking… it’s alright, you’re doing this for Andy. You’ll get through this…
