has anyone heard of this game?
Sabotain: Break the Rules (2004, Avalon Style Entertainment)
Not sure how I'd never heard of this one until my friend stumbled upon it. It's basically Russian Deus Ex with extra jank.
From what I've played so far it seems very ambitious. There are a ton of large, open, and very unique maps, a day/night cycle, and even the ability to buy vehicles (and you'll definitely want one with how huge some of the areas are).

Surprise! Half Life 2 replay! I can’t even begin to express how frustrating it is to me that there exists a brand new Half Life game out there right now and I can’t even play it! What I can play though, is one of the single most iconic games of all time: Half Life 2. I know people like to throw that word, iconic, around a lot in video games, but there’s a lot of games that truly deserve to be described that way and Half Life 2 is one of them. Getting into it today I was shocked at how far I got without realizing it, playing all the way from the intro to Black Mesa east without even realizing I was making it that far. The intro alone is one of the best realized in all of video games, arriving by train into City 17, a brutally oppressive hellhole that the man on giant screens insists is a beacon of prosperity, is still breathtaking even today.
It’s incredible that a game with a visual identity this strong came out in 2004 and still looks this good 16 years later.
It’s also immediately apparent that Half Life 2 has aged incredibly well in the gameplay department. There’s still a sense of flow and consistency to the journey you undertake that few other games have been able to match since. Just going from the intro in City 17, into the disgusting infested canals, and finally onto the air boat playground of a river is a hell of an experience and it never feels like it’s broken up in an unnatural way. Not to mention all the small details that Valve knocked out of the park even in 2004. The too low water levels in all the rivers (because the combine are stealing any they can get their hands on), the imposing soviet bloc era architecture (Never spelled out, but it’s highly likely City 17 is somewhere in Russia) and the towering citadel that’s visible at almost all times while in the city, dwarfing any and all other buildings in the city. Half Life 2 is still so good, I can’t wait to keep playing this thing. It’s been at least three years since I last played, but it honestly feels just like coming home.....or I guess be re-located back home?

- I already miss playing DOOM Eternal....Bring on that Nintendo Switch version honestly! Give me Eternal on the go! - I’m planning to go through all the Half Life 2 trilogy, and then when finished with that, fall to my knees and rage at the sky that I both don’t have and can’t afford a VR headset that can play Half Life: Alyx. - Ring Fit Adventure got a big update today! Including a brand new rhythm game mode and some general improvements! I’m a big fan of the new option to not interrupt exercises you’re doing if you defeat an enemy using them, always felt like I was somehow cheating myself by not finishing the sets!

Halo 2 (2004, Bungie)
Incredible game, it's aged like a fine wine.
My friend (who I'm playing through the series with for their first time) liked it a lot more than Halo CE, largely thanks to the greater mission variety, fewer recycled levels, and more that are vehicle-focused. The latter is where the series has always shined best, imo.
I'm really looking forward to seeing what they think of Halo 3 next.

30. Metroid: Zero Mission

Zero Mission is a really good Metroid game. The new epilogue mixes up gameplay in a really interesting way and is executed masterfully. The main game is also really solid. Overall, just a very fun experience.
