Day 1 - First figure skating program you watched

#always late to the party #meryl davis #charlie white #samson and delilah #2009 worlds #this was very tricky for me #since i’ve been watch fs for as long as i can remember #but couldn’t remember any of those programs specifically #as a big fan if ballroom dancing #i happend upon meryl and charlie on dwts #because i knew as dance is basically viewed as ballroom on ice #i decided to check it out and naturally started with meryl and charlie #this is the program if theirs that really caught my attention and it remains my favourite by them by far #from there on my interest grew and i started looking a as many ice dance and fs videos as i could find #and then watched whatever was availble on tv #and then started following/ watching full competions #and here we are #31 days of figure skating

FD: The Great Gig In The Sky [2009 Worlds]

Skating to music by Pink Floyd, Virtue, 19, and Moir, 21, rolled the dice with a non-traditional program, incorporating some innovative and creative lifts and step sequences.

"They chose a program that wasn't typical," CBC figure skating analyst Kurt Browning said. "They chose lifts that weren't easy. It will help them for the Olympics next year."

I found this relatively hi-def video of Great Gig from 2009 World Team Trophy. The only videos I’ve seen of this are really fuzzy. this never came up in a search, either. It was in my suggested videos tonight.
