She stands idle, hands resting at her sides as her inky hues stare at a cliffs edge---not that she had been considering jumping. . .rather she was TESTING her anxieties, attempting to bring forth something other then NUMBNESS. . .but the sound of a voice pulls her attention back to the physical world, a gentle gasp escaping as she takes two steps away from the edge, her eyes shifting to stare down a male whom she hadn’t encountered before.
“What’s it to you?” She speaks a little more tense then the soft gasp she had previously uttered,”I wasn’t going to jump---if that’s what you were thinking.” Winter feels the need to assert that---last thing she wants is to be hauled off to a loony bin from a misconception. “I was just. . .taking a look. Curiosity killed the cat, as they say.” Finally lips curl providing a faux expression of happiness, “My name is Winter---who are you?”
