日米を比較すると出羽守と批判されてしまうのだが、米国に帰宅してみて体感した大きな違いは米国政府のパンデミックに対する必死度は「ヘマをすると次の選挙で負ける」という恐怖心からきているという点。つまり政治が国民を健全に恐れている。「国民の武器はその一票」という正しい姿がここにはある。
