OH THIS TROPE. THIS EXACT TROPE. It gets me every fucking time you guys DONT even know.
A Statistically Better Match
2012 Donnie x Reader
Warnings: fluff, I think I lowkey made Donnie way too technical but like... I kinda like it
Donatello had reorganized the lab three times.
Not because it needed reorganizing. Not because anything was out of place. But because his hands needed something to do other than betray him by shaking every time he heard footsteps in the tunnel above.
You were coming over.
Again.
He checked the clock for the fifth time in two minutes. He recalibrated a scanner that was already perfectly calibrated. He wiped nonexistent dust from his goggles. Anything to stay busy. Anything to keep from thinking too hard about the warmth curling in his chest every time you smiled at him.
He told himself you were just friendly. You liked the turtles. You liked the lair. You liked science.
But you always sat next to HIM.
Always asked HIM questions.
Always listened with bright eyes even when HE rambled too fast about particle acceleration or mutagenic residue.
And when you laughed at HIS (Not Mikey's) jokes, real laughter, not polite, something inside him glowed like a reactor reaching critical mass.
A soft voice echoed from the tunnel entrance.
“Hey, Donnie!”
You stepped into the lab, ponytail slightly messy, jacket slung over one shoulder, holding a small paper bag.
“I brought those dumplings you like,” you said, lifting the bag with a grin. “The good kind, not the weird frozen ones Mikey keeps trying to feed you.”
Donnie’s heart absolutely sprinted.
“O-Oh! Excellent! Nutritionally sound and flavorful. A superior choice.” He immediately regretted saying it out loud.
You laughed and set the bag on his table. “I thought we could eat and just… hang out? If that’s okay?”
Hang out. With him???? YOU want to hang out with H I M?
Later, you sat on the couch in the corner of the lab, legs tucked under you, a dumpling trapped between your chopsticks, your other hand absently tapping your knee in rhythm with Donnie’s explanation of a holographic projector he’d been building.
You didn’t look bored. You didn’t look distracted. You looked engaged. Like you actually wanted to be there.
Donnie noticed everything. The way your eyes lit up when he demonstrated something new, the way you leaned in just slightly closer when he got excited, the way you smiled when he caught himself rambling and apologized.
“You don’t have to apologize,” you said at one point. “I like hearing you talk.”
His brain nearly short-circuited.
“…You do?”
“Yeah,” you said simply. “You’re passionate. It’s refreshing. Most people just talk to talk. Not you, though.”
Eventually, the night softened. Your words slowed. Your eyelids drooped. At some point, you curled sideways on the couch, blanket over your shoulders, head resting on a pillow Donnie had absolutely fluffed and repositioned until it was optimal.
He sat nearby at his desk, pretending to work while actually listening to your breathing even out into sleep.
Peaceful.
Safe.
And the sight of you there made something twist in his chest, affection, longing, fear, hope, all tangled.
You stirred as he approached, eyes blinking open sleepily.
“Hey,” you murmured. “Everything okay?”
He sat beside you, hands clasped tightly.
“Y/N… I have come to a conclusion.”
You smiled lazily. “That sounds serious.”
“I have spent an unreasonable amount of time pursuing someone who does not reciprocate my feelings,” he said. “While ignoring statistical evidence that someone else… might.”
Your heart skipped.
He looked at you, nervous but sincere.
“You.”
Your breath caught.
“I care about you,” he continued softly. “You listen to me. You respect me. You do not treat me like an anomaly or a monster.”
You sat up slowly.
“I like you,” you breathed out. “I always have.”
Donnie sucked in a breath.
“For you. Not your brain. Not your tech. You.”
You leaned forward and gently kissed his cheek.
Donnie froze.
Then exhaled shakily.
“…This is significantly better than I predicted.”
You laughed and rested your forehead against his.
From the doorway:
“YESSSSSSS,” Mikey whispered.
Leo slapped a hand over Mikey's mouth, shushing him.
not sure if you’ve done one like this before… but lime TMNT reactions to reader who doesn’t look fit— (always wears baggy clothes) and when they wanted to try out sparing with the turtles they finally shed off the baggy jacket to show how actually fit they are..
maybe like GN or female. But like imagine a strong buff reader nonchalantly showing off. But ofc they’re not overpowered but like still strong and lifts the turtles with ease :)
Buff reader supremacy
2012 TMNT Reactions to a Secretly Buff Reader
Leonardo
Leo honestly didn’t think much about it at first.
You always wore oversized hoodies, loose jackets, big shirts that swallowed your frame. You never looked particularly athletic.
So when you said, “Hey, can I try sparring?” he hesitated.
“You sure?” he asked carefully. “It can get intense.”
You just shrugged. “I’ll be fine.”
He was already planning to go easy.
You sighed, tugged off your jacket, and tossed it to the side.
Leo blinked.
Because under the baggy clothes? Defined arms. Solid shoulders. Visible muscle. Not exaggerated, just clearly trained, strong and capable.
He recalculated immediately.
“...oh...,” he said slowly.
The spar starts.
He moves in confidently. You block.
He tries to sweep you. You don’t budge.
He blinks again.
Then you grab him by the shell and lift him just slightly off the ground to reposition him. Just slightly.
Like he weighs nothing.
Leo.exe has stopped functioning. You set him back down calmly.
“Sorry. Force of habit.”
His leader instincts are screaming but he’s also impressed beyond words. After the match (which is actually evenly matched), he’s standing there with the most respectful expression ever.
“You’ve trained before.”
“How could you tell?”
He nods slowly.
“…We should spar more often.”
Translation: he is both humbled and extremely intrigued.
Raphael
Raph absolutely underestimated you.
When you said you wanted to spar, he smirked.
“Oh yeah? You sure you can handle it?”
You just rolled your shoulders casually.
Then you took off the hoodie. Raph freezes. He tries to recover immediately.
“Pfft. Okay. So you lift a few weights. Big deal.”
Spar starts.
He comes in hard with a quick jab. You block with a counter as you grab his wrist and then flip him.
He lands on his shell with a loud THUD. Complete silence. Mikey is screaming in the background. Raph stares up at you. You offer him a hand like nothing happened.
“You good?”
He grabs your hand. You pull him up in one smooth motion. He is staring at you like he just discovered a new life goal.
“You were holding back earlier.”
“Yeah.”
Raph is 100% obsessed now. Not in a weird way but in a “I need to train with you immediately” way.
He respects strength and you have plenty of it.
Donatello
Donnie did not expect this. He assumed you possessed average human level strength. So when you take off the jacket and reveal very clear muscle definition, he is stunned.
“…Fascinating.”
He’s analyzing immediately. Muscle density, proportion, control. You start sparring lightly. He tries a tactical move. You counter with shocking stability.
At one point he miscalculates momentum and you just grab him around the middle to steady him like he weighs absolutely nothing.
He goes very still.
“…Your lifting capacity is statistically above expected parameters.”
You shrug. “I work out, I guess”
Later, you casually hook your arms under his and Mikey’s shells and lift them both an inch off the ground just to move them out of your way.
Donnie is short-circuiting. He’s not intimidated. He’s impressed. Extremely so.
“Would you be interested in a strength analysis session?”
You grin. “Only if you spot me next time.”
He will think about that for days.
Michelangelo
Mikey is the loudest about it.
You take off your jacket and he just-
“YO??? SINCE WHEN???"
He runs a circle around you like you just unlocked a secret character skin.
“YOU’VE BEEN HIDING THESE GAINS??”
Spar starts and Mikey is having the time of his life. You catch him mid-spin once. One hand wrapped around his ankle. He dangles there for half a second.
“…I feel tiny,” he says.
You gently set him down.
“Sorry.”
“NO DO IT AGAIN!”
At one point he jumps at you dramatically. You grab him and lift him over your shoulder like a sack of flour. He is CACKLING.
“This is AWESOME!!!”
He absolutely brags about you afterward.
“Yeah, that’s my super buff friend. She bench presses turtles.”
He thinks it’s the coolest thing ever.
Splinter (Bonus)
Splinter absolutely knew. He always knows.
When you remove your jacket and reveal your build, he simply nods.
“Discipline hides beneath humility.”
You bow slightly. During sparring, he watches carefully. You are strong but controlled.
That’s what he values.
When you lift Raphael without strain, he does not react with surprise. Only approval.
Imagine the reader tries (and fails) to do the 'Hey' thing on the 2012 turtles.
Just imagine that.
That'll be so fucking funny

LOL it's been so long since I've seen this movie, but I remember this scene plain as day. It's probably my favorite scene in the whole movie.
Here you go<3
A Disastrous 'Hey'
2012 Turtles x Reader (ALL SEPERATE)
Warnings: probably cringe, they're kinda ooc :p
Leo
One second, you’re stepping into the lair, heart doing that stupid little flutter because you’re about to talk to Leo, and the next your brain goes, Be cool. Be casual.
You lift your hand halfway and slap it down on his shoulder.
“…hey.”
Leonardo stops.
Like actually stops. He stares at you, eyes narrowing just enough to suggest he’s running through several possible interpretations at once.
A greeting.
A test.
A sign of disrespect?
A trap??
You instantly regret everything.
Leo straightens, clears his throat, and gives you a stiff nod. “Hello?” The word lands with the gravity of a formal diplomatic exchange. “Did you… is there something you needed?”
Oh no. You broke him.
You scramble. “No! I mean, yes? No. I was just- uh saying hi.”
Leo’s brows knit together. He glances over his shoulder, clearly checking whether the others noticed. Unfortunately for him, Donnie is already watching with scientific interest, and Mikey is grinning like he just found new meme material.
“Okay...,” Leo says slowly, like he absolutely does not see. “Your tone was… weird.”
You wish the floor would open up. “It’s just a thing. Like a casual thing. Friendly.”
Leo nods again. Too many times.
There’s a pause. A long one and makes you shift uncomfortably.
Then Leo raises his hand, exactly the same way you did, and says, “…hey.”
It is the most overthought “hey” you have ever witnessed.
Mikey immediately loses it. Raph snorts. Donnie mutters something about “mirroring behavior.”
Leo freezes again, noticing everyone laughing, and his face goes faintly red. “Was that… was it that bad?”
You wave your hands. “No! No, that was perfect. Honestly. Nailed it.”
He exhales, relieved, but still visibly embarrassed. “Social skills are not my strongest area.”
You smile, softer now. “You did fine. Promise.”
Leo meets your eyes, then gives you a small, genuine smile back. This one isn’t practiced.
Donnie
You walk in, see Donnie hunched over a workstation, goggles slightly crooked, muttering to himself, and your mind betrays you with possibly the worst greeting ever.
“…hey,” you say with an odd look on your face.
Donnie looks up instantly.
Then he tilts his head.
Then he blinks.
Then he squints.
“Interesting,” he says, pushing his goggles up. “Your vocal tone suggests a greeting, but your body language indicates hesitation. Was that intentional?”
You already know you’ve made a mistake.
“I- uh it’s just a casual hello.”
“Casual,” Donnie repeats, testing the word. He swivels slightly in his chair. “So not a request for attention, nor a dismissal, nor a conversational opener?”
“…It is kind of a conversational opener.”
Donnie’s eyes light up. “Are you sure?”
“Well not anymore...”
He starts typing. Rapidly. “Fascinating. Humans often deploy low-investment greetings to test social receptiveness. This aligns with-”
“Donnie,” you interrupt gently, mortified, “it’s really not that deep.”
He pauses. Slowly looks back at you.
“…It isn’t?”
You shrug helplessly. “It’s just a ‘hey.’”
There’s a pause.
Then Donnie stands up. Clears his throat. Adjusts his posture.
He walks three steps toward you. Stops. Takes a breath.
“…hey.”
It comes out identical to yours. Same tone. Same uncertainty.
Your eyes widen. “Oh my god please stop.”
Donnie’s face immediately brightens. “Right, sorry. My bad.”
As you walk away, you hear him mutter, “Note to self: never say ‘hey’ like that again,” before typing it into his computer.
Raph
You barely get the word out before Raph is over your shit.
“…hey.”
He looks at you like you just insulted Spike.
“What the hell was that?” he asks.
You freeze. “What?”
“That tone.” He narrows his eyes. “You sound ridiculous and that face makes you look constipated.”
Your stomach drops. “I was just saying hi.”
Raph doesn’t buy it. “Uh huh. You say ‘hi’ like that when you’re bein’ sarcastic.”
“I really wasn’t!”
He leans closer, clearly trying to read your face. “Then why’d you say it like that?”
“I don't know! I was trying to be chill?”
“Chill people don’t say ‘hey’ like that.”
Behind him, Mikey is vibrating with laughter.
Raph straightens. “Say it again.”
“…hey?”
He tries it back immediately. “Hey.”
It’s gruffer. Sharper. Somehow louder.
“Quit it,” you say without thinking.
Raph’s jaw drops. “Oh, so it's worse when I do it?”
“No. It's just, yours sounded like you were about to start a fight.”
He thinks about that. Then huffs. “…Yeah, okay, fair.”
Mikey
You barely finish the word.
“…hey.”
Mikey gasps.
“Oh my GOD was that the cool quiet hey??” He immediately mirrors your pose. Half wave, slouched confidence. “…hey.”
Then he does it again. Louder. “Hey!”
Then again. “Heeey.”
Raph groans. Donnie sighs. Leo pinches the bridge of his nose.
Mikey spins around you. “Is this a vibe thing? Because I am FEELING the vibe.”
You laugh. “You’re making rethink my life's decisions...”
“Sorry,” he says with a bashful smile. Then immediately forgets. “Hey,” he lets out with a half smirk thing going on, arching an eyebrow.
You let out a small giggle.
Mikey grins. “Okay but real talk, 10/10 greeting. We’re doin’ this forever.”
Could you read about a time where the reader stayed over for sleepover and heard him say a confession or something like it and then, cause they feel the same, talk to him about that later with some tension added because misunderstanding beforehand or after.Happy end though 😭maybe a little kiss idk.Have as much creative freedom as possible . ♡₊˚
Here you go babes <3
Static Between Heartbeats
2012 Donnie x Reader
Warnings: CRINGEEEEE
The lair always felt different at night.
During the day, it was loud. Mikey’s laughter echoing down the tunnels, the low volume of the TV as Leo watches Space Heros, Raph’s constant muttering, Splinter’s soft footsteps. Even the hum of Donnie’s computers made it feel alive.
But at night?
At night the lair was quiet in a way that made every sound feel too important.
The soft drip of water somewhere in the distance. The faint buzz of fluorescent lights. The distant, muffled rush of the city above like an ocean you couldn’t see.
You were curled up on the couch with a blanket Mikey had insisted was “mandatory for maximum comfort,” your sleepover bag tucked beside you. Casey had left earlier, April had gone home, and the turtles had retreated to their rooms.
You should’ve been asleep.
But you weren’t.
Because Donnie was still awake.
You could hear him moving around his lab. His tools clinking softly, chair wheels squeaking, the occasional frustrated sigh. His voice, quiet and focused, murmuring to himself in that way he did when he was deep in thought.
After a while, you pushed the blanket aside and padded silently toward the lab entrance, mostly out of curiosity. The glow from his monitors spilled into the hallway, painting the walls in pale blue.
You stopped just before stepping in.
Donnie was hunched over his desk, goggles pushed up into his bandana, hands moving with delicate precision as he adjusted something inside a small device. His face was tired, but focused, like he was holding the whole world together with a screwdriver and sheer willpower.
He didn’t notice you.
Then he spoke.
Not loudly. Almost like he didn’t realize he was saying it out loud at all.
“…I wish they’d just see me the way I see them.”
You froze.
Your heart gave a small, stupid jump.
Donnie paused, staring at the machine like it had personally offended him. He rubbed his thumb against the edge of a circuit board, then exhaled.
“I mean... Splinter sees me. The guys, too, sometimes. But…”
He swallowed.
And the next words came out softer. Like they weren’t meant for anyone else to hear. Donnie leaned back in his chair, staring up at the ceiling, the glow from the monitors lighting his face in a way that made him look… almost vulnerable.
“I don’t know how you do it,” he whispered. “How you make it feel like I’m not just the weird one in the corner with the gadgets.”
He gave a quiet laugh that didn’t sound happy.
“I mean, you’re probably just being nice. You’re like that. You’re… good.”
His voice dipped lower, almost breaking.
“But I swear, if you ever looked at me the way I look at you…”
He stopped himself, like he’d realized he’d gone too far.
And then, quickly, he turned back to his work, hands moving faster, more frantic, like he could build a wall between himself and his own feelings if he worked hard enough.
You backed away before you could make a sound.
Your heart was pounding so hard you thought it might echo through the tunnels.
You returned to the couch and slid under the blanket, staring into the dark.
Not because you hadn’t slept (though that was part of it) but because every time you did drift off, your brain replayed his words like a broken record.
If you ever looked at me the way I look at you…
When you walked into the kitchen area, Mikey was already awake, eating cereal straight from the box. Leo was sipping tea with Splinter. Raph was half-asleep at the table, face planted on his arms.
And Donnie?
Donnie walked in like nothing had happened.
Like he hadn’t accidentally confessed his entire heart to the air.
He greeted everyone normally, grabbed a mug, and started making coffee.
You stared at him.
He didn’t look at you.
Not even once.
And for some reason… that stung.
Maybe he’d realized you were there. Maybe he knew. Maybe he was embarrassed.
Or maybe...
Maybe it hadn’t been about you at all.
Your stomach twisted.
You tried to act normal, but every time your eyes flicked toward him, he was either busy, looking away, or suddenly very interested in the coffee machine.
It felt like a door had shut.
And you weren’t sure if you were supposed to knock… or leave.
Later, Donnie asked you to follow him into the lab.
“I need help with something,” he said quickly.
You nodded, heart fluttering, and stepped inside.
The moment you were alone, the tension hit like electricity.
The lab was quieter than usual, the monitors dimmed, the air smelling like solder and oil. Donnie stood by his desk, hands behind his back like he was trying to keep them from shaking.
“So,” you said softly, trying to sound casual. “What do you need help with?”
Donnie didn’t answer immediately.
Then he cleared his throat.
“…Did you sleep okay?”
You blinked. “Yeah. Did you?”
He hesitated, and you saw it. The tiniest flicker of panic in his eyes.
“No,” he admitted.
You swallowed.
Your voice came out quieter than you meant it to. “Donnie… did you know I was awake last night?”
His shoulders stiffened.
“…Yes.”
Your heart dropped.
“So you knew I heard you,” you said.
Donnie turned his head away, jaw tightening.
“I didn’t mean for you to,” he muttered. “I was tired and I- I wasn’t thinking.”
You stepped closer. “Then why are you acting like I did something wrong?”
His head snapped back toward you, startled.
“I’m not,” he said quickly. “I just… I don’t want you to think I’m some kind of- of pathetic loser who talks to himself in the dark.”
You stared at him.
“…Donnie.”
He looked like he was bracing for rejection.
Instead, you took a breath, steadying yourself.
“I didn’t think that,” you said. “Not even for a second.”
His eyes widened slightly.
“You were honest,” you continued, voice softer now. “And it was… kinda sweet.”
Donnie’s face flushed purple instantly.
“Sweet?” he squeaked, mortified.
You smiled, but your hands trembled a little. “Yeah. Sweet. And… terrifying.”
Donnie blinked. “Terrifying?”
“Because I didn’t know if you meant it,” you admitted. “And then this morning you wouldn’t even look at me.”
His gaze dropped.
“…I thought you’d be uncomfortable,” he said quietly. “Or that you’d regret staying here.”
You took another step closer, close enough that you could hear his breathing.
“I wasn’t uncomfortable,” you whispered.
Donnie looked up slowly, like he was afraid to hope.
“…You weren’t?”
You shook your head.
“I just didn’t know if it was real,” you said. “And it hurt a little to think it wasn’t.”
Donnie’s mouth parted, like his brain was buffering.
Then he swallowed hard.
“It was real,” he said. “Every word.”
Your chest tightened.
You let out a small, shaky laugh. “Good. Because… I feel the same.”
Silence.
Donnie stared at you like you’d just told him the laws of physics had changed.
“…You do?” he whispered.
You nodded.
And suddenly, all that tension snapped into something warmer.
Donnie stepped forward before he could overthink it, hands lifting like he wasn’t sure where to put them. One settled carefully on your waist, hesitant but protective.
His voice came out barely audible.
“Can I…?”
You didn’t even let him finish.
You leaned in first.
The kiss was soft, almost clumsy, like neither of you had practiced this enough. But it was real. He made a quiet sound of surprise against your mouth.
When you pulled back, he was staring at you with wide eyes.
Like you’d just given him the world.
“You- you kissed me,” he said, voice cracking slightly.
You smiled, heart hammering.
“I did.”
Donnie let out a breathy laugh, his forehead resting gently against yours.
“…I’m going to remember this forever,” he murmured.
Your cheeks warmed.
“Well,” you whispered, “good. Because I’m not taking it back.”
And for the first time, Donnie smiled like he wasn’t just a genius.
Not really sure how to do this since this is my first time but it can't be that hard so here I go lol
Can you do a 2012 Mikey x an experimented on reader x Donnie?
Like, some angst some fluff, Mikey and Donnie find one of those big tube things (Idk what they're called but kinda like shadow the hedgehog what he was locked in) and it breaks and the reader falls out? They can't really talk and they're overwhelmed by suddenly being out into the cold loud world and they comfort them?
Idk man
I made this platonic because I think it fits the prompt best <3
Out of the Silence
2012 Mikey x Test Subject!Reader x Donnie
Warnings: absolutely NO t-cest, fluff, hurt/comfort
The abandoned laboratory had the kind of quiet that made even the air feel dead.
Donnie’s scanner pulsed faint green light across the metallic walls as the turtles moved cautiously through the corridor. Dust lay thick on the floor, disturbed only by their footsteps.
“This place was operational recently,” Donnie murmured. “Power traces are still active. That means-”
“That means we’re definitely about to find something creepy,” Mikey whispered, nunchucks resting against his shoulder.
Raph grunted. “Great. Love that for us.”
Leo lifted a hand, signaling them to slow.
They turned the corner and froze.
In the center of the next room stood a towering glass containment cylinder. Thick cables slithered from its base into the walls. Frost crawled across the inside like frozen veins. Dim lights blinked from a control panel still running on backup power.
And inside the tube…
A person.
Floating. Suspended. Motionless.
You.
Bare skin pale under the sterile blue light. Thin wires embedded along your arms and neck. Your eyes closed. Your chest rising, but just barely.
Mikey’s voice dropped into horrified awe. “Dude…”
Donnie surged forward immediately. “Life signs detected. Weak but present!”
Before anyone could stop him, the machine emitted a strained mechanical whine.
A crack splintered through the glass.
Then another.
Then-
CRASH
The tube shattered outward. Ice-cold fluid burst across the floor. Your body fell with it, hitting the metal ground hard, gasping violently as your lungs seized on their first real breath in who knew how long.
Sound slammed into you.
Light stabbed your eyes.
Air burned your throat.
Gravity pinned you down.
Your limbs trembled uncontrollably. Muscles locking. Heart racing too fast. Everything was too bright. Too loud. Too real.
You tried to scream.
No sound came.
Mikey was beside you instantly, dropping his weapons and kneeling with his hands held up, non-threatening. “Hey hey hey, it’s okay! You’re okay! We’re not gonna hurt you!”
Carefully. Clothed in something April had left behind. Lights dimmed. Voices low. Blankets around you to keep out the seeping cold.
Donnie set you on the couch like you were something precious and fragile. He adjusted pillows under your head, tested the room temperature twice, then placed a small heater nearby at the lowest setting.
Mikey sat cross-legged on the floor beside you.
No crowding. No touching unless invited.
Just presence.
Donnie ran a scanner over you quietly. “No severe physical trauma. Malnutrition minimal. Hydration required soon. Vocal cords appear intact but unused for extended time.”
Mikey blinked. “So… they literally stole your voice?”
Donnie hesitated. “More likely it simply… hasn’t been used.”
Your eyes flicked toward them.
Understanding only partially. But you were listening.
Donnie softened his tone. “You don’t need to speak. Not yet. Not ever if you don’t want to. We’ll figure it out together.”
Mikey smiled like sunshine. “Yeah. You’re part of the lair now. Temporary honorary turtle buddy.”
Your fingers twitched against the blanket.
Slowly, uncertainly, you reached out and touched Mikey’s hand.
Not grabbing.
Just contact.
Warm skin. Real. Steady.
Mikey’s grin went gentle. “Hey. Hi.”
Donnie’s eyes softened. “Trust established.”
Your breathing eased again.
Tears slipped down your cheeks, not panic this time. Just release.
Mikey wiped them with the corner of a blanket carefully, like handling glass.
“Sleep if you want,” he whispered. “We’ll be right here when you wake up.”
Your eyes fluttered closed.
And for the first time since the tube broke, the world finally stopped hurting.
Because someone had pulled you out of silence.
And they weren’t going to let you fall back into it.
I ADORE THE REQUEST YOUVE DONE!! Aughhhh I wanna ask another if that’s okay? If it is, then yay!!
This is a Raph x GN reader (or fem you can choose), where like they’re Casey’s cousin who moved in with him from outside of the city. They aren’t social or rowdy, like the quiet-awkard-dork people (someone you wouldn’t expect Raph to have a crush on)! Sadly they do get bullied a lil, They went to the lair with Casey with a few bruises on their face… y’know, being bullied!! So Raph comforts them and y’know they get all close! THEHEH…
Quiet Company
2012 Raph x Casey's bullied, GN cousin!Reader
Warnings: reader is bullied, mentioned violence, no pronouns used<3
Raphael notices the bruises the moment you step into the lair.
You come in behind Casey, like always. Half a step slower, shoulders drawn in, hoodie sleeves pulled down farther than necessary. Casey’s already talking, already laughing, already filling the space with noise as the metal door clangs shut behind you.
You don’t say much. You never do.
Raph pretends, for a few seconds, that he hasn’t seen them. He knows better than to call attention to something you’re clearly trying to hide. But that doesn’t stop his eyes from tracking every detail: the faint purpling along your cheekbone, the yellowed edge near your jaw where a bruise is healing instead of fresh. The way you angle your face away from the overhead lights. He thinks for a moment and wants to believe you're a hockey player that plays too rough, much like Casey, but then why would you go through the effort to hide them?
It makes something hot and unpleasant coil in his chest.
You’re not like Casey. That’s been obvious since the day you showed up with a duffel bag and an awkward little nod, fresh from somewhere outside the city where things were quieter. You don’t crash into the lair like you own it. You don’t joke with Mikey or argue with Raph or challenge Leo.
You hover. You listen. You exist gently.
And somehow, that’s exactly what pulled Raph’s attention in the first place.
Casey tosses his bag aside and heads toward the kitchen, already shouting for Mikey about leftovers. You hesitate in the middle of the room, clearly unsure where you’re supposed to go now that your human anchor has wandered off.
Raph clears his throat. “Hey.”
You flinch, just a little, and look over at him. Your eyes widen when you realize he’s looking directly at your face, not past you.
He jerks his head toward the bench near the training mats. “Sit.”
There’s nothing sharp in his voice. No edge. Just steady expectation. You obey, perching on the edge of the bench with your hands folded together, fingers twisting around each other like you don’t know what to do with them.
Up close, the bruises are impossible to ignore. He wants to know how dense your cousin actually is to miss them.
Raph crouches in front of you so he’s not towering, forearms resting on his knees. He doesn’t reach out. Doesn’t crowd you. He just stays there, grounded and solid, like a wall you can lean against if you need to.
“Who did that,” he says quietly.
You tense immediately, shoulders rising. “It’s nothing. I’m fine.”
He doesn’t argue. Just studies you, eyes narrowing slightly, not in anger at you, but at the answer.
“You don’t look fine.”
The gentleness in his voice makes your throat tighten. You swallow. Look down at your hands. For a second, you consider lying again. You’re good at that. Or at least… practiced.
“…It hurt,” you admit instead.
Raph exhales slowly through his nose. He stays still, but something shifts in him. A tightening, a restraint. “Yeah,” he says. “Looks like it.”
Silence stretches between you. It doesn’t feel rushed. It doesn’t feel awkward. It feels like he’s giving you space to decide what you want to say next.
You take a breath. “I don’t really fit in here,” you say quietly. “Outside. I mean. I keep my head down, but people still notice. I guess I make it easy.”
Raph’s jaw tightens. His hands curl briefly into fists before relaxing again. “That ain’t on you.”
You glance up at him, uncertain. “You don’t even know what happened.”
He meets your eyes, expression unshakable. “Doesn’t matter.”
That’s when it hits you. He’s not waiting for details. He’s not judging whether you handled it “right.” He’s already decided where he stands.
“You don’t deserve to be messed with,” he continues. “Not for bein’ quiet. Not for bein’ different.”
Your shoulders sag, tension draining out of you like you’ve been holding it together with sheer willpower all day. You suppose he's been dealing with people that assume things about him for just being different his whole life. It's refreshing to share this with someone who understands. “…I’m not good at standing up for myself,” you admit. “I freeze.”
Raph lets out a soft huff of breath. “Yeah. I noticed.” Then, almost immediately, he adds, “Ain’t a bad thing.”
You look at him again, really look this time.
He shifts slightly, hesitating. Like he’s choosing his next move carefully and then rests his hand on the bench near yours. Close enough that you can feel the warmth through the air between you.
“You don’t gotta be loud,” he says. “You don’t gotta throw punches or talk big. That’s not who you are.”
Your fingers relax, unknotting one by one.
“And that’s okay,” he adds.
Something settles in your chest at that. Something heavy, but in a good way.
“If anyone gives you trouble again,” Raph continues, voice lowering just a touch, “they’re dealin’ with me.”
You hesitate, then shift your hand slightly, enough that your fingers brush against his knuckles. It’s barely anything.
Raph freezes.
His heart kicks hard against his ribs, loud enough that he’s pretty sure you can hear it. He doesn’t pull away. Doesn’t move at all.
You don’t move either.
For a moment, the lair noise fades into the background. Mikey’s laughter, the hum of Donnie’s equipment, Casey’s shouting, Leo's Space Heros show playing at almost max volume. All of it feels far away.
Sitting there, bruised and quiet and closer to Raph than you’ve ever been, you feel something unfamiliar but steady take root.
Safe.
Seen.
Like maybe you’re not as alone in this city as you thought.
And Raph stays right there with you, guarding the silence like it’s something worth protecting.
could you do a tmnt thing, where y/n was close to the turtle either because they where siblings somehow or friends, and also just as skilled. Anyways she’s been missing for about a week and all of a sudden they find them committing robbery and acting a bit more manic, and also have no memory on whey the turtles are or who they are themselves

Warnings: Use of Y/N </3, Leo wants his best friend back, angst lol
The first sign something was wrong was the alarm. It echoed down the empty streets, bouncing between buildings in sharp metallic screams. Donnie’s tablet lit up with a flashing notification.
“Uh… guys?” he said slowly.
Raph glanced over from sharpening a sai. “What.”
Donnie turned the screen around.
“Robbery in progress. Electronics store on 8th.”
Mikey perked up instantly. “Oh sweet, crime!”
Leo was already standing. “Gear up.”
They moved fast across the rooftops, shadows slipping between the neon glow of the city. Normally robberies like this were easy. Some dumb crook breaking glass, grabbing a TV, maybe a laptop.
In and out.
Simple.
But when they reached the building… the front door was gone. Not broken. Gone. Like something had ripped it clean off its hinges.
Raph whistled low. “Okay. That’s new.”
Leo held up a hand, signaling quiet. Inside the store, the lights flickered. Something crashed. Shelves tipped over.
Then-
A laugh. Unsteady and manic. The turtles froze in their spots.
Donnie frowned. “Doesn’t that sound like-”
Another crash interrupted him.
Leo motioned forward. They dropped silently through the shattered skylight. The inside of the store looked like a tornado had hit it. Glass everywhere. Displays overturned. Security alarms flashing red across the walls. And in the center of it... you.
Your back was to them. You were crouched beside an open register drawer, casually stuffing cash into a backpack.
Raph blinked.
“…No way.”
Mikey’s voice dropped to a whisper.
“Is that-”
Leo stepped forward slowly.
“Y/N?”
You froze. For a moment the room went completely still. Then you stood. When you turned around, your eyes flicked over the four turtles like they were complete strangers with cold, sharp awareness.
“…Huh,” you said.
Your voice was casual. Almost amused.
“Didn’t expect giant turtles tonight.”
Mikey laughed nervously. “Haha yeah good joke, you always—”
Leo stepped forward again.
“Y/N. It’s us.”
Your head tilted slightly. Like you were studying them. Then your expression twisted into confusion.
“Should I know you?”
The words landed like a punch. Donnie’s tablet slipped slightly in his grip. Raph’s fists clenched. Leo tried again, softer this time.
“…It’s Leo.”
Nothing. Not even a flicker. Your gaze shifted to each of them slowly.
Blue mask.
Red mask.
Purple.
Orange.
You shrugged.
“Doesn't ring a bell.”
The room went silent.
Mikey blinked rapidly. “Okay that’s not funny anymore.”
You reached down and zipped the backpack shut.
“Well, whatever you are,” you said casually, “you’re kind of in my way.”
Raph stepped forward immediately.
“Oh hell no.”
You moved before he finished the sentence. Fast. Too fast. Raph barely raised his arms in time. Your kick slammed into his guard with enough force to shove him back a step. Raph’s eyes widened.
“Yo what-”
You spun and came at him again. Leo intercepted, katanas crossing to block your strike. Metal rang sharply through the store. For a moment you both froze. Your eyes met his. Leo searched your face desperately.
“Y/N… stop.”
Your expression didn’t change.
“You keep calling me that.”
You shoved his blades aside and flipped backward onto a counter. Leo landed lightly.
“Because it’s your name.”
You scoffed.
“Pretty sure I’d remember something like that.”
Donnie stepped forward cautiously.
“Y/N, listen. Something must have happened to you-”
“Oh good,” you cut in. “Talking turtle scientist.”
Your grin widened slightly.
“This night just keeps getting weirder.”
You hopped down from the counter. Your stance shifted. The turtles recognized it instantly. Your fighting style hadn’t changed. Leo felt his chest tighten. You were still you. But somehow… you weren’t.
Mikey took a hesitant step forward.
“Hey… um…”
His voice softened.
“You used to hang out with us. All the time.”
Your eyebrow lifted.
“We watched movies! And you beat Raph at Mario Kart like twenty times!”
Raph snapped, “HEY-”
Mikey pointed dramatically. “SEE! He still hasn’t recovered!”
Your face remained blank.
“…Mario Kart?”
Leo’s hope flickered for half a second. Then died when you shook your head.
“Don’t know what that is.”
Raph’s voice dropped low.
“What happened to you.”
You shrugged again.
“No idea.”
You slung the backpack over your shoulder.
“But whatever it was…”
Your smile tilted slightly.
“…I kind of like the part where I get free money.”
Leo stepped in front of the door.
“You’re not leaving.”
Your eyes sharpened instantly.
“Oh?”
You stepped closer. Slow. Predatory.
“Are you going to stop me?”
Raph cracked his knuckles.
“Gladly.”
You moved first again. This time the fight exploded across the store. You vaulted off shelves. Flipped over Donnie’s bo staff. Dodged Mikey’s nunchucks by inches. Every movement precise. Exactly like before. And that made it worse. Because you fought them like enemies.
At one point you grabbed Leo’s wrist and twisted hard enough to send his sword clattering across the floor. You shoved him back. Leo hit a shelf and slid down it. Your foot landed on his chest before he could stand, pinning him.
“…You’re good,” you said.
Leo stared up at you. His voice came out quiet.
“You used to call me your best friend.”
Something flickered in your expression. For half a second. Then it vanished.
“You were the only one who watched Space Heros with me, without insulting me. C'mon, Y/n, I know you're in there...”
You faltered again slightly. Raph charged. You jumped back just in time to avoid his tackle. Glass shattered under your feet. Donnie raised his hands.
“Stop! Everyone stop!”
The fight slowed. Breathing heavy, tension thick in the air. Donnie looked directly at you.
“If you don’t remember us… do you remember anything?”
You hesitated for a second. Then you shrugged.
“Bits and pieces.”
“Like what?”
You glanced toward the door.
“Enough to know I don’t stick around when fights get inconvenient.”
Leo stood slowly.
“…Y/N.”
Your eyes snapped back to him. His voice was steady but softer now.
“You’re not a thief.”
You tilted your head.
“You seem very sure about that.”
“I am.”
A pause.
“Because I know you.”
The room held its breath. For the first time, your smile faded completely.
“…You keep saying that.”
Leo took one careful step closer.
“And someday you’ll remember.”
Your eyes searched his face. For something. Anything.
Sirens wailed outside. Police. You groaned.
“Ugh. Great.”
In one swift motion you rolled a smoke bomb across the floor.
Donnie shouted, “Wait!”
The room filled with smoke instantly. By the time it cleared you were gone.

In the Spaces Between
2012 Karai x Reader
Warnings: uhhhh fluff, takes place in Tokyo
Morning in Tokyo arrives quietly.
Not in silence. Tokyo is never truly silent, but in a soft layering of sounds that gradually build into the day. A distant train passing like a low hum through the bones of the city. The faint murmur of early commuters. The whisper of wind slipping between narrow buildings. Somewhere far below, a delivery truck idles, then pulls away.
Your apartment is small, but warm.
The kind of place you’ve made comfortable through effort rather than money. The curtains are slightly uneven because you hung them yourself. The kitchen is narrow. The living room is also the dining room. There’s a little balcony with a view of rooftops and tangled power lines.
And in your bed, tucked beneath a thin blanket, Karai sleeps beside you.
She sleeps on her back, posture controlled even in rest, one arm folded over her stomach like she’s still guarding herself even when unconscious. Her hair has come loose from its usual tight style, light and dark strands spilling across the pillow. Without the armor of discipline and sharp expression, she looks softer.
But even now, even asleep, she is not careless.
You can tell by the way her breathing is measured. The way her body is positioned so she could sit up quickly if she needed to. The way one of her hands rests near the edge of the bed, close enough to reach the small knife she keeps hidden between the mattress and the frame.
You learned about it by accident once.
She hadn’t been angry when you noticed. Just quietly watching your face, as if waiting to see if you’d fear her.
You hadn’t, of course.
You simply reached out, took her hand, and told her she was safe here.
It had taken her a long moment to respond.
But she’d stayed.
The morning light creeps across the sheets slowly, painting the room in pale gold. You stir first, blinking against the brightness, and immediately register warmth beside you.
Karai is still asleep.
For a second, you just watch her.
There’s something almost surreal about seeing her like this. Someone who moves through the world like a blade, precise and dangerous, now curled into the most human version of herself. She looks peaceful, in a way she probably wouldn’t allow anyone else to witness.
You reach out carefully, fingertips brushing a strand of hair away from her cheek.
Her eyes open instantly and she quickly grabs your wrist.
You freeze.
Karai stares at you for half a heartbeat, then recognition softens her gaze. The tension in her shoulders release, subtle but noticeable, and she exhales as she lets go of you.
“…Good morning,” she says quietly, voice slightly rough from sleep.
You smile. “Good morning.”
She studies you for a moment longer, as if making sure you’re really there, then shifts closer. Her hand finds yours under the blanket, fingers threading together with a slow certainty.
It’s affectionate, but still cautious like she’s learning how to do softness without losing herself.
You squeeze her hand gently.
Karai’s eyes narrow a little, amused. “You are awake earlier than usual.”
“I could say the same about you.”
She hums. “I am always awake. Even when I am asleep.”
You snort softly. “That sounds exhausting.”
Karai’s mouth twitches, almost a smile. “It is.”
You roll onto your side, facing her fully. The space between you is small. Your knees brush, your shoulders nearly touch. Close enough that you can see the faint marks on her hands from training, the tiny scar near her knuckle that she never talks about.
Karai’s gaze flickers to your mouth, then back to your eyes.
For a moment, she hesitates like she’s deciding whether she’s allowed to want this.
Then she leans forward and presses her forehead lightly to yours.
It isn’t a kiss, not exactly. It’s something quieter. Something intimate in a way that feels uniquely hers.
A promise.
You close your eyes and breathe her in. She smells faintly like clean soap and the night air.
When she pulls away, she sits up immediately, blanket sliding down her shoulders. Her posture straightens like she’s putting armor back on, but she doesn’t move away from you. Instead, she reaches out and tucks the blanket around you again, firm but gentle.
“You will catch cold,” she says.
You blink. “You’re literally the one uncovered.”
Karai rises from the bed without another word and crosses the room with quiet grace. She grabs your hoodie from the chair and tosses it onto the bed.
It lands on your face.
You laugh, muffled. “Karai!”
“I solved the problem,” she replies smoothly, already heading toward the bathroom.
You hear the faucet turn on. The soft sound of water running. Then the familiar quiet rhythm of her morning routine: the brushing of teeth, the rinsing, the calm precision of someone who never wastes a movement.
When she comes back out, her hair is gathered back neatly, and her expression is composed again; except for the faint warmth in her eyes when she looks at you.
She pauses beside the bed.
“You are still lying there?” she observes.
“You’re still staring at me?” you counter.
Karai’s brows lift slightly. “…Fair.”
She turns and walks into the kitchen, and you finally drag yourself out of bed, slipping into the hoodie she threw at you like a blanket.
The apartment floor is freezing.
Karai is already opening cabinets with quiet familiarity, pulling out ingredients like she lives here, which she does, in a way, even if she never calls it that.
She moves around your small kitchen like she’s learned the layout by heart. The rice cooker clicks on. A pan warms. She cracks an egg with one hand without even looking.
You lean against the doorway, watching.
“You’re cooking?” you ask.
Karai glances over her shoulder. “You forget to eat when you are stressed.”
That hits a little too accurately.
You straighten slightly. “I do not.”
Karai’s stare says you absolutely do.
You surrender. “Okay. Maybe sometimes.”
She hums, satisfied, and continues cooking.
Breakfast is simple: rice, miso soup, a small portion of grilled fish, and sliced fruit. It’s the kind of meal that feels grounding, like it ties you to the day instead of letting it run away from you.
You sit at the table while Karai places the dishes down neatly, one by one, like she’s setting up a ritual.
When she sits across from you, she doesn’t start eating immediately. She watches you pick up your chopsticks first, watches you take the first bite.
Only then does she begin.
It’s subtle, but you’ve noticed the pattern: Karai relaxes when she knows you’re okay. When she can see it.
After breakfast, you both clean up together.
You wash, she dries. You bump elbows once and apologize automatically. Karai doesn’t apologize. She simply shifts closer, wordlessly adjusting so you fit together better in the space.
It’s domestic in the strangest way.
The kind of normal you never expected to have.
Later, you walk with her through the city.
Karai keeps her hood up, though she doesn’t truly hide. She just blends. She moves like she belongs here. Like Tokyo itself is an extension of her body. You, on the other hand, still occasionally hesitate at crosswalks, still look up at signs to confirm directions.
Karai notices.
She always notices.
Her hand brushes yours briefly as you walk, a quiet guiding touch. Not possessive. Not controlling. Just reassuring, like she’s reminding you that you don’t have to navigate everything alone.
You stop at a small shop you like, the one that sells little trinkets and sweets.
Karai watches you browse with a faintly curious expression. “You enjoy these places.”
“They’re calming,” you say. “Plus, they have cute stuff.”
Karai picks up a small charm keychain shaped like a fox and examines it. Her gaze is unreadable, but there’s a softness there.
“…It resembles you,” she says finally.
You blink. “A fox resembles me?”
“Yes,” Karai replies calmly. “Quiet. Clever. Hard to catch.”
Heat rises to your face.
Karai places the keychain back, as if she didn’t just say something that would live in your head for the next month.
The day continues like that.
Small moments.
Karai correcting your scarf when it slips. Karai standing slightly closer when a crowd gets too tight. Karai buying you a drink without asking because she knows which one you like. You teasing her for acting like a bodyguard. Her pretending she isn’t.
When evening finally comes, the city lights turn the streets into gold and neon. The apartment feels warmer when you return, like it missed you.
Karai removes her shoes neatly at the door. You flop dramatically onto the couch.
Karai looks at you like you’re a creature she still doesn’t fully understand.
“You're tired?” she asks.
“I’m relaxed,” you correct.
Karai pauses, then sits beside you; careful, controlled, but close enough that your shoulders touch.
For a while, neither of you speak.
You can hear her breathing. You can feel the quiet steadiness of her presence. Outside, Tokyo keeps moving, alive and endless, but in here, time slows.
Eventually, Karai’s hand finds yours again.
Her fingers curl around yours, firm and warm.
“You are safe,” she says softly.
Not a question. Not a reassurance for you.
A vow.
You turn your head slightly, smiling. “So are you.”
Karai’s gaze lingers on you for a long moment.
Then she leans in and kisses you. Its brief and controlled, but undeniably tender.
When she pulls back, her expression is calm, as if she hasn’t just unraveled your entire heart with one small gesture.
“…Good,” she murmurs.
And you realize something then.
Karai may never be loud with her love.
She may never be careless with it.
But she gives it to you the way she gives everything important. Fully, fiercely, and with absolute intention.
