On top of Philadelphia City Hall
SACM and I took a tour of City Hall, ending with a cool few minutes at the top of the world’s largest masonry building, near a 37-foot cast iron statue of William Penn.

New suits
For $1,300, including tax, I bought four new suits: a buy one, get three deal, in which I paid very full retail price for a nice Italian suit and got three others. All in all, for not much more than $300 each, I got my hands on the first four tailored suits I ever owned.
I also got a haircut that turned out to be the first paid haircut since before I was a junior in high school.
Muck Fest Tough Mudder Philadelphia
I ran my first ever Muck Fest, as a way to raise funds for MS, held near the Newtown square HQ of SAP.
It was tons of fun — we ran the 5 miles in a couple hours because, well, we kept dragging each other down. Some favorite obstacles, in addition to just running in the mud:
Start off by being sprayed with water
Run up a muddy ledge, with many people falling
run across a narrow muddy path with big pits of deep muddy water on either side and fight through big balls that are tied to a crane and being swung at you.
run up and down muddy sea saws
Muddy pit jump
Run across muddy planks in pond
Nylon Spider netting in mud
Teepee of rope ladder
Tent above muck to army crawl
Seesaw into the muddy water
Steeplechase metal climbing
Rope hang spinner

Learn more about visual art. (Took Art History class.)
Be in a theater piece outside of school. (2013 Philly Fringe Fest.)

Start to learn to play an instrument. (Ukulele.)

Make a newsletter of artistic accomplishments to send to friends, family and colleagues. (I did that. I think I will not do it again until I am semi-famous.)
Go to at least 5 auditions for Summer/Fall 2013. (Brat, Theater Exile, Rando Film, School Auditions, SCTC, Asylum, Azuka...)
Do something cool summer 2013. (understudied&SM'd dance show, ASM'd Found, was in Philly Fringe, made lots of new friends.)
Learn about astrophysics and the universe. (Read Hawking's Baby Black Holes, watched ALL the documentaries.)

'Resolutions'
My resolutions are stupidly similar to the resolutions that everyone else has. I suppose I shouldn't say 'stupidly similar' because that's basically shitting on everyone else's resolutions, and I don't want to do that at all. After all, what makes the things that I want to do better than what someone else wants to do?
Exactly, it doesn't.
one. And here's the biggest one: I want to lose 20 pounds. While I know that I am fit, my weight has been creeping up as of late and part of that is due to the fact that my previous attempts at weight loss have led to me failing miserably at feeding myself the proper amount. Now that I have a better idea of how to eat, I want to try again. Whether this means upping my training or what, I don't know. I don't have a specific end date, no weekly goals, I would just like to lose 20 lbs and then go from there. Basically, I would like to look as fit as I am because people looking me over and giving me the stupid-ass raised eyebrow when they find out that I am part of a sport that trains six days a week pisses me the fuck off. two. More vegetables. Because I've been failing at this. If I can get a salad for lunch and make sure to eat some veggies for dinner, I'll be extremely proud of myself. three. Acknowledge that 'hey you know what makes you feel like death? All the fruits/granola you really like' and stop eating them. At no point in time will they make me not feel like I am going to throw up. It would probably be easier and more enjoyable if I just avoided the lot of them. four. More coffee Or drink more water. Or that. five. Recognize that you are accountable for your actions. Do you know why you didn't erg this morning? Because you decided to go back to sleep and wanted to make your erg session in the evening, not at 5 AM like yesterday. That's fine, just acknowledge that you had an opportunity and you didn't take it. Same with the rest of your life. six. Read more, read multiple books at once, etc. seven. Get back into weightlifting. ... also I kind of forgot to post my training yesterday, so I might do that today even though it wasn't super intense or anything.
