Name: 2013 John Duval Wines Plexus _________________ My Rating: 91+ _________________ Price: $29 from @undergroundcellar, best available online now $27. _________________ Last bottle of the night, 54% Shiraz based GSM blend from the Barossa Valley in Australia that really came to play. Has endless potential over the next decade or so. Almost pitch black with ripe dark mostly black fruit, black pepper, earth, and elegant tannins. With air, the wine becomes more savory and gamey, with secondary notes of loamy earth and Cornas like smoked meats lending additional complexity. The wine judging panel were invited for a sampling of the #Burgundy delights from the #2013vintage of the #DomaineHudelot-Baillet. The #Bonnes #Mares #GrandCru had a strong opulent finish with the right balance of cassis, violet undertones, ripe cherries. This Domaine's bouquet is #meticulous and #wonderful and a clear representation of a class on it's own. Truly deserving of the #RP rating at 95 points. #TastingRoom #WineJourney (at Extra Space Asia Self Storage)
