Meighan introduced the film by saying "I met Sergio when I was 17. He said, 'Join my rock band. I know you're a bit weird and sing a lot but it will fucking work' and this is the outcome."
Day is alright so far. I’m writing this after tutoring time!
Breakfast was as usual. No stomach pains today so hell yeah. Class dragged on especially today, but we did do something different and read some passages and did reading comprehension. It was alright, I guess. They were about coffee and also about working morale or whatever. Good stuff????
Got qingtang luroumian because I’m a trendsetter, obviously. Did laundry. Hung laundry. Seriously, I love hanging laundry on the roof here. It’s so warm and toasty. It was actually on the hot side, but I was happy for that because then my laundry would dry quickly. It’s just so nice seeing clean laundry on the lines, and feeling a breeze. And the air just smells so fresh and J))))))) It’s a nice refreshment from the usual sewer smells of China lol (and I’m not hating on China here; Taiwan has that too! Not as bad, though…)
Fudao time was good. Did a roleplay; Matt GP was a 小三 and I was his friend, convincing him to break up with his girlfriend. It turned crazy, of course. Everyone knew each other and then everyone was pregnant and… I don’t even know.
We also did a debate about polygamy (one side for, one side against) and the tutors completely dominated that. That was interesting.
And now I am back. We took Matt C’s tutor’s car again. It was pretty funny lol
Now I am going to do homework so I can KTV at 7. BYE
KTV WAS A YES.
Did most of the homework. Went to eat at kimbap nara again; got eel bibimbap, again. It was good. Everything was good. Got mistaken for Korean again, probably. Probably every fucking day. But also probably not as frustrating as being Korean and being mistaken for as Chinese in this country – though, come to think of it, why do people assume I’m a foreigner? Wouldn’t you assume any Asian here would most likely be Chinese? I don’t like that “Korean”????????? ????? ???
Went to KTV, met with Emma’s friends. We sang songs! It was fun. I FINALLY sang The Chaser. It’s one of my favourite songs of all time. Also sang some EXO songs, though in Chinese. It was awesome singing it with one of Emma’s friends. I believe her name was Julia. Everyone there was so nice. We introduced ourselves (kinda) and since both James were there, Emma just introduced us by saying that there was a half-Chinese girl, two Koreans, and one Taiwanese person. They assumed James L and I were the Korean ones. Gdi
Later, Matt brought his friends over and one scooted towards me and asked me if I was Korean. nO I AM NOT KOREAN.
It’s kind of interesting because I was just talking about this today with Matt C after class; about being Taiwanese but being interested in other cultures. He described me as ideally being half-Japanese half-Korean, but growing up in Taiwan, or something. I mean, I don’t really know what to say to things like that. I love all these cultures, but I 100000% identify as Taiwanese. Even in China, I know I’m Han, and that the Han in China and Taiwan are basically the exact same, but I still call myself Taiwanese. Now that I’ve been to China and stayed here for so long, I identify with Taiwanese (and identify less with Chinese) than I ever have before. Idk. I miss Taiwan, too. While China and Chengdu is fun, so far, I can’t say it compares with Taipei and Danshui. Then again, it’s difficult to judge because I haven’t been outside of campus all that much. We’ll see how my opinion changes as I wander further away from campus.
ANYWAYS, we left KTV at around 10; some people stayed, but priorities told me to head back. I’m glad I did. Took a shower, finished homework, wrote this blog post. Yep!
Happy Birthday to Kim Woo Bin! We send our gift to Woobin, not expensive, some thing can represent our Chinese fans' mind. Do you like it? ^_^ Please credit kimwoobinchinafanclub if spreading. [DO NOT EDIT]
