So another three months have passed and it’s time to take stock again of how well I’m doing with my theme for 2015. This year’s theme is “being active” and so far each month has brought a new physical activity into my life.
Here’s what I’ve been up to so far:
January – working out with a personal trainer
February – a week of downhill skiing in Switzerland
I swear, time is speeding up. This year is flying by, no?! Six months already down, six months to go… and so it’s time to reflect again on my theme for 2015: being active.
I’ve recently been put to shame with my little goal of doing an activity once a month, having met Annie from Exerk who’s doing a challenge once a week, “52 in 52” – but, hey, I’ll keep plugging away at my own little project…
3 Months Already Gone: Progress on my theme for 2015
And so three months of the year have already passed, with 2015 set to be the fastest year ever recorded in history (- or is it just me getting old?). A good milestone for checking in on how we’re doing on our New Year’s resolutions or, if you’ve followed my approach, our theme for the year. Having done this for the last couple of years, I’m finding that a theme gives enough of a framework for you…
It’s Tuesday so that means at ilisteniwatch.com, it’s Tunesday! Every Tuesday, we will share a song with you that we love and hope you will too.
My life is no longer mine alone. It is ours.
Words fail me here, because our world fails us. Consequence does not allow me to elaborate on exactly why I selected this song. However, I maintain hope that our world will change. After all, our world is…

Waterford and Times Square New Year’s Eve Reveal “Gift of Fortitude” as 2015 Theme of the Waterford Ball
Waterford to Recognize International Rescue Committee, with “Award of Fortitude” for the Organization’s Outstanding Work
Waterford, Ireland (Dec. 27, 2014)– This year, Waterford and Times Square New Year’s Eve invite revelers to share in the “Gift of Fortitude,” the second gift in the 10-year “Greatest Gifts” series that will decorate the Waterford Times Square New Year’s Eve Ball for the next…
Ever since the premiere of “My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic,” magic has been one of the most important parts of the show — shoot, it’s in the title, after all.
But magic can mean many things, from the mystical things Twilight Sparkle and her fellow unicorns do every day to the extraordinary power of the show to unite people from across all walks of life — like at conventions, for instance — that can feel, well, magical.
For next year, we decided to zero in on that very aspect of My Little Pony. Presenting the theme for TrotCon 2015: magic.
While our theme for 2014, Renaissance, may be a little more finite, magic is broad enough that it can have its own subthemes. Halloween and the supernatural can be rooted in magic; hey, wanna cosplay as a ghost that’s simply #Way2Spooky? Do your thing!
It can even stretch in directions such as the Harry Potter films, so if you ever wanted to break out that Star Swirl the Bearded and Dumbledore crossover panel you’ve been bugging your friends about for the past two years, now you can. 10 points to Gryffindor.
As with past iterations of TrotCon, while we’re still a pony convention at heart, we’ll be opening the floor for any and all things, from the obvious Harry Potter to some of the less-obvious — like, say, Halloweentown. Someone had better do a Halloweentown panel. You heard it here first.
Stay tuned; we’re only getting started when it comes to TrotCon 2015. We’ll be revealing our location and dates as soon as we know more and are already getting to work on planning some of the awesome programming you’ll see next year.
What’s that, you say? TrotCon 2014 was only a few weeks ago? You already knew we had a problem — and convention-wise, we’re probably not alone.
