Remember the day when Casey Affleck took over an interview, our boy just can’t stop laughing and laughing...
They’ve made my day, STILL.
So I just clicked on the video link under your last post (the Pandora summer crush gifs) and there was an interview after it in which they had these crush/no crush signs. Not only did I just now realise Ash didn’t actually call Kylie Jenner a small bag of rice (that’s how I’ve always seen it edited! 🤣), but they also all hold up the crush sign when asked about tater tots. So there you go: the whole band crushes on you! 😁 ~ Rema
@ivebeenasleepsolong I'm CACKLING omg thank you for bringing this to my attention 🥰 (My claim to fame at 2:13 for those interested 😌)
Hey Anons? This is the video that appeared when I made the search. It's the right one?
Soundlink Magazine interview Jamie and Sam at Carolina Rebellion
Interviewer: How are you guys doing?
Jamie: Very good.
Sam: Yeah not too bad.
Interviewer: Introduce yourselves.
Sam: My name’s Sam and I play guitar.
Jamie: My name’s Jamie and I sing and I also play guitar.
Interviewer: Awesome, sweet, so you guys are here in the States for Carolina Rebellion today, it’s hot out here, how are you guys handling it? How are you guys processing all that’s going on outside and all that cool stuff?
Jamie: I’m melting. I’m melting from the inside out. I’m from London, England. I’m not used to this. This is way too hot for me. No, it’s amazing man, it’s our first festival of the year. We love festivals. We get to see some people that we know, we’re on tour with Dube as well at the moment, who are just on the stage behind us here. It’s kinda like an extra date on the run but also we get to see some amazing bands. How are you enjoying it Sam?
Sam: Not too bad, dealing with the heat - terribly. Awfully. But yeah I love festivals, vibe’s good, it’s chaos, I’m keen. I like it.
Interviewer: How do you guys as a band adjust your shows to the festival shows, for you guys personally, what is your bands routine with that? With how much you bring out, how much you show, and what kind of songs to play?
Jamie: We go out there and play festival shows like we would play a headline show. I bumped into a friend of mine backstage at a festival in Germany called Rock Camp. A guy called Frank Carter of Gallows, and now Frank Carter and the Rattlesnakes. And I turned to him and was like ‘Frank,’ this was like our first festival in Europe, it was like a heavy festival, I think we were on after Turnstile I was just like ‘ah man we’re just going to go down like this is shit, this isn’t going to work out at all.’ I turned to Frank and I was like ‘Frank, I’m terrified do I just go out there.’ And he was like ‘dude, just go out there, play the show like you fucking always play the show, and they’ll dig it.’ If you start changing shit up, people are going to be able to sense it you know. That’s what we do, we go out there, go hard and we go heavy. Play the fast ones, and get out, cause a riot and fuck off home.
Sam: I think the chaos of festivals and getting stuff onto the stage is a warm up in itself, everyone gets so riled up. By time you’re on stage it’s like you’ve played half a set already and you’re ready to go. So I love it. I’m keen for it.
Interviewer: How do you guys going about releasing singles, how do you go about writing them and scheduling to put them out and that stuff?
Jamie: So we started off by releasing two singles, we did a single called Enough and a single called Come Get Some. I guess our thing has always been like if we’ve got the music, let’s just fucking give it. Let’s just give it out. ‘Cos we’re not about that kind of like strategic placement kinda thing. We come from that school of thinking which is like well this is for everybody so let’s just fucking put it out there and give it up. That’s kinda what we do, we have our first album Together We Are Stronger which came out in March last year. Just got some of the singles on it, but really for us it’s just about sharing it as quickly as possibly we can.
Interviewer: You’re on tour right now, what can fans expect from you for the rest of the year in the States, or are you guys going back home for the rest of the year?
Jamie: So we will be finishing up this tour end of May, we’ll be sticking around the States for a bit. Then we’ll be going in, and recording the new album. Getting that all ready for people. Hopefully not breaking up. You know. That would be good, that would be a plus. We’ll be sticking around, playing some more shows, just spreading the good message of Counterfeit. chaos across the country.
As both brothers say in Supersonic, they believe in fate. Liam believes fate will bring them back together. 'I believe that Oasis will sail again and that it'll be glorious.'

Sundara Karma Interview
(22 Dec 16, via)
College News: Hi Oscar! You guys are well into tour promoting your new EP, Loveblood with Sundara Karma—you must be so excited! Tell us about the experience so far? Oscar Pollock: It’s been very intense and we’ve met a lot of interesting people but we will always miss our mums when away from home.
CN: Tell us a funny story from one of your nights on the road/stage. OP: When we we’re in Chicago we all decided to get PMA tattooed on our ankles. We each did a letter on each other to make it even more personal and hilarious. It’s traditionally a straight edge tattoo which makes it even funnier as we drink far too many mojitos to ever be considered straight edge.
CN: Could you tell College News a little backstory behind Sundara Karma? (Beautiful name, by the way!) OP: Thanks! Well, we’ve been a band for seven years now, we all met when we we’re 14 through school and I guess something just clicked. The angels must’ve been watching!
CN: What’s a typical “day in the life” for you when you’re in the process of writing new material? OP: Isolation. I can only really create when I’m 100% alone. I like to shut myself off from everyone. If nothing is coming then I’ll go for long walks, paint, meditate, do yoga - anything to help me feel connected to that ever-present creative flow. When I’m writing, and I mean when I’m writing good shit, it’s like where the fuck did that come from, almost as if I wasn’t really there. So the more I can get into that state the better. The state of selflessness.
CN: What’s the hardest thing about being in a band? OP: The hardest thing about being in a band is also one of the best things, the debauchery A.K.A. the damage. When touring, we party, we really go for it. I think it’s ‘cause it keeps us sane. The downfall is when I get home I feel really depressed and lost and uninspired so I’ve got to work on finding a balance, I guess.
CN: What gives you inspiration when writing lyrics for Sundara Karma? OP: A lot of it definitely comes from personal experience. Whether I may or may not be going through that exact emotion I’m writing about doesn’t matter, as long as I’ve felt it and can write about it honestly. Other forms of art and literature inspire ideas too.
CN: Who would you say your main influences are as a band (musician or not)? OP: Jim Morrison, Roger Waters, David Bowie, Ninja, Scott Walker.
CN: What plans do you have for the future? OP: Our album comes out in January and we hope to be playing lots and lots of shows off the back of it, help get the album out to the people
CN: What advice would you give to those wanting to start a band? OP: Figure out what it is you want (this can take many years so don’t try to rush it), hold that fantasy as clearly as you can in your mind and keep it bright and shining, don’t let anyone sway you from that majestic path until you have reached your goal, and always, fuk da 5y5tem.
CN: And finally, Christmas is super close—how are you guys celebrating this year? OP: I’m with my mum for Christmas and I think the plan is to drink lots of wine and smoke many cigarettes. []
