PRIDE
Pride is not for me. Meaning it wasn't meant for me to participate in as a member of the gay community to walk with my fellow humans as a show of solidarity, no, PRIDE is there for me to stand on the sidelines and watch the courage and PRIDE someone has for who they are as they were meant to be. I have never gone to a PRIDE parade as anything other than a supporter it is your time to shine not mine it is for you not me. I will stand on the sidelines of history and cheer for you, I will sing songs of love and joy for you, I will pray for your happiness, I will smile at your kind eyes as you walk past me, I will defend you when others try to slander the love you share, I will help in any way I can to make you my equal, I will say thank you for presenting me with who YOU are everyday, day in and day out I will be proud of you as my friend, as my family, as a human on this Earth we share. Thank you for blessing me with your friendship your kindness your soul. You have made an impact on me.
