Release the creativity!

It’s time to start posting your fanworks! Here’s a few guidelines to follow.

Fanfic should be posted to AO3, with adequate tagging. Please make sure to tag any trigger warnings or kinks, and rate appropriately.

Add the fanfic to the AO3 collection dccwrarepairswap and gift it to the person you wrote it for (using their AO3 username if applicable)

Post your fanart to you tumblr, tagging the person who requested it, and dccwrarepairswap in the first 5 tags. If the tags fall after 5, it will not appear int he tags index, and we won’t be able to find it.

We’ll be reblogging everything we see, and pulling everything from the AO3 collection to this tumblr to make sure everyone gets their little gifts, and that everyone gets to see everything, so make sure to tag!

You may start posting now! If you’re not quite finished yet, that’s okay. We’re giving you about a week (until July 1) before we come knocking on your door, demanding contributions :)

Today is the official deadline. That said, we probably won’t start sending out obnoxious messages for a few days (some of us have had a rough week). Please do everyone a favor and try to get your works submitted before we have to come for you with pitchforks.

Artists and writers of the Arrowverse / DCCW, welcome to the rarepair corner!

Over the next two months (May 1 through July 5), we’re all coming together to create for the less popular ships in the arrowverse: Barrisco, Scholsen, Snowest, Allenbert, Snowbert, GoldenVibe, HeatVibe, Atomic Heat, SteelAtom, Time Canary, Cisco/Hartley, Parkwest, KillerVibe, Barry/Felicity, Olivarry, Felicity/Sara, Thallen, AND SO MANY MORE*. No ship is too small. (But some ships are too big; check the FAQ to see which ships arent allowed)

Our goal here is to get creativity flowing in all corners of the DCCW, and expand the amount of fanworks for the little ships.

Similar to a secret santa gift exchange, each participant will get the name and requests of another participant. You’ll have some time to work on your gift, and when the deadline hits, you’ll send out what you’ve created, and receive something that was tailored to your wants.

Unlike secret santa, the matching process won’t be entirely random. We want everyone to write/draw something they are comfortable with and inspired by, and we certainly don’t want to force anyone to write/draw for a ship they don’t care about.

In the end, we hope that everyone will have at least one new fanwork to enjoy of their favorite pair, and ultimately expand the number of fanworks out there.

our scheduled, mandatory check in is coming up (Jun 15). You can start checking in now, through the same chat as before.

Writers, please let us know your current word count and roughly how much more you think you have to go (or tell us you’re finished and in the editing phase, if that’s the case.)

Artists, give us a general idea of how close to completion you are.

If you’ve picked up additional prompts from the unclaimed thread, let us know your progress on that as well

Assignments are due at the end of the month, which means you should be near the 75% complete mark. Remember to give yourself time to edit!

We’ve only heard from about 5 of you (of 50) for the Jun 15 check-in. No big, you still have about 30 hours before we start pestering you about it :)

Sorry we haven’t posted in a few days, we haven’t really had any updates. 

We’re up to ~35 participants and more roll in every day! You all as a whole are shippers of over 100 rarepairs, which seems insane, and we have prompts for over 60 of them.

However, I’m back with more underrepresented rarepairs. Those are the ones that someone has requested, but no one else is interested in writing/drawing so far. Maybe we can pull in a few more?

Lets get some more love for: Rip/Mick, Karamel, Westthallen (Iris/Eddie/Barry), Barricity, Tommy/Oliver, Oliver/Slade
