Inspired by a post @a-redharlequin reblogged that I initially thought was about Eddie Thawne, but was actually about Eddie Brock from Venom. It did however give me the idea for this AU
When the Flash came to him after the attack, Eddie almost reached for his gun, only the Symbiote’s voice in his head kept him back.
See what he wants, we can defend ourselves if he attacks again.
It turns out what he wanted was to apologies. Apparently the bank robber they had been chasing could induce rage, and he’d hit the Flash with it. He was very sorry for what he’d done now though.
Before, it might not have been enough, the anger might have been induced, but he still targeted Eddie. Now though, Eddie knew something about wanting to hurt people because of something vicious influencing your mind. The Symbiote might be his friend, but it wasn’t a unicorn.
So Eddie forgave him, and watched as the super powered vigilante relaxed immediately, his face (what little of it Eddie could see between the mask and the vibrating) light up with a dazzling smile.
In the Back of his head, the Symbiote made a noise suspiciously like a purr.
Sorry we haven’t posted in a few days, we haven’t really had any updates.
We’re up to ~35 participants and more roll in every day! You all as a whole are shippers of over 100 rarepairs, which seems insane, and we have prompts for over 60 of them.
However, I’m back with more underrepresented rarepairs. Those are the ones that someone has requested, but no one else is interested in writing/drawing so far. Maybe we can pull in a few more?

This is really bad and honestly kind of pointless but it was better than doing my philo essay. It’s super cliche and blech. Just a short little Westhallen baby fic that headcanoning with panromanticbarryallen. Also shout out to attoseconds who is literally the opposite of helpful and enables my procrastination.
Westhallen baby fic, not even an hour old and she’s perfect already
“That was probably the most stressful moment of my life,” Barry said, leaning his head against the wall with a tired smile, “And that includes telling Iris that I was the Flash and the first time I had to phase through a wall.”
“Don’t let Iris hear you say that,” Eddie grinned back from his seat against the opposing wall, reaching his foot out to nudge his partner’s leg, “Pretty sure she has first dibs to the title of most stressed.”
“Oh trust me, I learned that lesson back in middle school,” the speedster returned with a snort. Silence fell back over the pair, and despite what they said, an air of nervousness was still present. Barry nearly fell over when the door next to him burst open, and neither man wasted any time in leaping to their feet.
“Which one of you is-?” the nurse began in slight confusion, before Iris’s voice drifted into the hallway.
“Just let them both in, if you could,” she called out, causing the nurse to raise an eyebrow at the two disheveled men. After a long pause, she shrugged, deciding that she really didn’t care, and let them both in with a wave of her arm. “There you two are- are you both done panicking yet?”
“Something tells me our panicking has just begun,” Eddie commented as he walked over to her bedside with a reverent smile. Barry had frozen after a few steps into the room, just staring at Iris, and she was a sight to behold. A few loose hairs were sticking to her face where it had escaped her bandana, and when most would look exhausted, she looked wide awake with bright eyes and a pleased grin on her face. The most striking feature though, was the bundle she cradled in her arms.
“Come on, you big baby,” she called out, rolling her eyes fondly at the stunned scientist, “You going to meet this kid of ours or not?” Eddie would normally have laughed but he was too busy leaning over the child himself, his finger stroking the cheek of the sleeping baby delicately. It was this that kicked Barry into gear, speeding over to her bedside in an instant (luckily the nurse had left them alone for the moment). The wind from his speed stirred the blankets just barely, causing the baby to squirm but she didn’t wake.
“Can I?” Barry asked around the lump in his throat, fidgeting nervously but looking earnest nonetheless.
“Of course,” Iris responded with a scoff and a soft smile, “Hold your arms out.” He complied eagerly and she leaned forward to arrange the baby in his arms properly, already an expert in the whole matter. When she was satisfied that the baby was comfortable and that Barry wasn’t going to drop her in panic, she leaned back in bed with a happy sigh.
“She’s perfect,” he breathed in awe, completely enraptured by the baby. Iris couldn’t help but let out a giggle and Eddie sat down on the edge of her bed in order to more easily draw her into a kiss.
“Are we still going with our original name?” the blond asked when they parted, leaning his forehead against hers.
“I think it fits,” she told him, leaning back so she could shoot a glance at their daughter and partner, “Nora Nicole- has a nice ring to it, am I right?”
“It’s as perfect as she is,” Eddie agreed with a blinding grin that hadn’t faltered once since he’d laid eyes on his newborn daughter, “What do you think, Bear?” They both turned their attention to the scientist to find his head bowed over Nora. He looked up upon realizing that they were talking to him and revealed the tears that were falling down his face.
“Aw, Bear,” Iris cooed, though she was starting to sound a bit choked up herself, “If you start crying you know I’m going to start crying.” Eddie stood up and walked around to his partner, pressing a hand to his neck and dragging him close to kiss his forehead.
“Are you okay, love?” he asked, pressing his nose into the other man’s hair.
“I’m fine, I’m fine,” Barry brushed off, adjusting his hold on Nora delicately so that he could wipe his eyes.
Eddie smiled fondly as he moved to take the baby from his partner, “Of course you are.” If anyone else had said it, it would sound skeptical or condescending but the detective’s voice was warm as he settled the baby into his arms with ease.
Iris beckoned Barry over, pulling him down onto the bed with her and tucked his head under her chin. Eddie watched them together, a familiar warmth filling him to the brim and he felt like he was going to burst at any moment. Nora stirred in his arms, letting out a soft whine. As he turned his attention to their daughter she blinked her eyes open, her thin eyelashes fluttering against her flushed cheeks. She tried to stare up at Eddie but her eyes never focused, soon falling closed once more.
“Nora Nicole,” the blond hummed again, “Most important girl in the world.”
Since I have too many things to write rn, someone should totally write a Westhallen fic where at some point after Barry confesses to Iris, she realizes she loves him back but still loves Eddie, but also realizes that Eddie has some sort of feeling for Barry as well. They agree that a poly relationship is best but there’s one problem:Barry is still all touchy and jealous of Eddie.
Cue romcom-esque shenanigans where they both try increasingly ridiculous things to convince Barry first of all that Eddie is genuinely trying to be nice before they can go any further with their plan. (Eventually they finally manage to show him that Eddie isn’t rubbing anything in his face and that jfc he’s hella into him as well as Iris and Barry doesn’t know how to handle life for like 3 days).
Featuring Eddie looking like a kicked puppy bc Barry is petty as fuck and Iris wonders why she deals with either of them (or really romance in general).
Wow this took way longer than I meant to to write this woops. (also this is really only kinda AU as the only real noticeable difference is that Eddie is a plain old cop rather than detective woops)
38. cop/person getting a speeding ticket au
Eddie stopped his car with a long sigh. If there was onething he hated it was giving out speeding tickets, especially in a city thatrushes as much as Central City does. Unfortunately, it was part of the job, andthis particular car was one that was not unfamiliar to the cop.
“Is there a problem, officer?” Iris asked after she rolleddown the window, grinning innocently up at Eddie.
“Ma’am,” he groused out but her grin widened as she realizedthat he was playing along just barely, “You do realize you were going 20 milesover the speed, right?”
“Was I?” she asked, still as innocent as before though shelooked as if she had just caught the canary, and Eddie gave her a deadpanstare, “Are you going to punish me officer?”
“Do you want to tell me why you were speeding?” he askedwith a sigh so deep it practically lived in the Mariana Trench, “Do I even wantto know?”
“Bear made me do it,” she told him quickly, with a shrug anda squawk came from the passenger seat. Eddie bent down a bit more to glare atthe other person.
“Goddammit, Barry,” the blond bit out and Barry threw hishands in the air.
“I didn’t expect her to take me seriously,” he protested andIris turned to make a face at her passenger.
“Bear, you’ve known me for how long?” she asked himincredulously.
“You know you’re still getting a ticket, right?” Eddie askedher, leaning against the window sill of the car. Her face fell and she lookedready to protest but instead she just slumped against her wheel, cursing underher breath.
“You sleep with a cop and he won’t even let you off a littlespeeding ticket,” she huffed, shaking her head, “The nerve I swear.” Barry letout a choked laugh next to her.
“License and registration,” Eddie said with a roll of hiseyes. She handed it over with a huff and he walked back to his car to write theticket. When he returned with the ticket she took it with a huff and shooed himaway.
“See you tonight!” he called over his shoulder.
“You’ll be lucky if you aren’t on the couch!” Iris calledback, though the lack of anger in her voice belied how unlikely that was tohappen. He had just gotten into his car and was watching as she drove away withamusement when his phone dinged.
Picking it up, he saw that Iris had texted him right beforeshe drove away (or as she drove away). He nearly dropped the phone after heread it. Barry saved you from gettingcouched. He gave me a much better punishment for you. PS – Barry stole yourhandcuffs.
