I'm feeling a lot better since I posted last. I read a lot about plantar fasciitis and I tried a heated massage and it already helped. So now daily I let my feet chill on a heating pad. It really got me to thinking and wondering if this was the cause of my extreme foot pain in this summers vacations after doing the boardwalk. I think it's been forming for years and I just never connected the dots until now. I've been thinking of what move I want to make next diet wise. I became sort of stagnant after working at that sucky job. I'm done there now and although my new job is very involved I do feel less stressed out. I want to do low carb but not call it keto this time. When I went keto I was so concerned about fitting into the keto box, counting macros etc. I believe my true key to better health and weight loss now is intermittent fasting. I want to do it less extreme than last time. I used to don23/1. I'd now like to do 20/4 but I'll be flexible so it's alright if that is 18/6 on some days. My schedule right now works well for this. I get off at 3, so I'll be able to enjoy eating pretty much until I get ready for bed. My plan is to focus on my digestive system. Loose plan: First meal (eaten towards end of shift or after work) - salad or soup Protein shake Meal with either beef chicken pork or fish and vegetables croutons make me happy and I will be throwing several in each salad I have because it makes me eat salad so fuck it. The salad/soup is to gently awaken my digestive system. The shake is to allow me to get the protein I need. The last meal will sustain me. I will start each morning and end each evening with a warm cup of herbal tea. At work I'd like to drink water, zevia and iced tea with stevia. I'm at the point already where a lot of the time I drink a glass of milk in the morning and work all day without eating. I think this will be an easy transition. I am going to be cutting down on cheese. I think it's bad for my digestion. I will still have some cheese in my salad because just like croutons, it makes me eat the salad and enjoy it. Like I said I am not fitting into any box, I just want to be low carb. So if at my last meal I want a modest scoop of rice, or I'm dying for a taste of potato.. I will have it! My goal here is to make my body happy not make up a set of rules. This will help me lose weight but most importantly I believe it will make me feel healthier. Lately I have not been feeling in tip top shape! 2016 may not have been the year I lost all of my weight, but I learned so much about how I want to lose weight and what doesn't work for me. I learned how to perceive food in a better light. I lost 30 pounds but gained so much perspective. I'm ready to remove rules, deadlines and other people's ideas of what is good. I'm finally ready to just listen to myself and my body.
