"I should not be manager of crime syndicate. I should be manager of hotel. Chain of hotels.''
I started watching Barry back in 2019 and got back to it last week when I learned it has ended. Those 4 seasons has been a journey for the characters. For people who don't know: Barry, who kills for money, discovers acting when he is looking for his target. He realises he enjoys it so much that he wants to leave behind his old life.
I loved how it was still comedy (loved the contrast between Hank and Barry) even when dealing with really serious stuff (like Sally's story). I loved NoHo Hank and Cristobal. And especially I loved the ending because Bill Hader said himself that he didn't want Barry to be liked and it worked. I mean - Barry is not a GOOD GUY. Not in any way - he is a hitman after all. But also as a person, a wannabe actor Barry Berkman is just a bad person and I think he was portrayed perfectly. He is not emotionally matured and yes, he is traumatized after war but he CHOOSES not to work on himself.
Watch this if you haven't already. For NoHo Hank especially.
