Finally got to take a walk with the dogs and check up on the fall landscape: most trees and brushes have their leaves fallen already, but there are still patches of green grass/ forbs!

While trees are important, grassland is just as important if not more in places cold like here, to support herbivores over the cold times and hence support carnivores and a more diverse ecosystem. We have way too little grassland here due to the disappearance of bisons... I wonder how big of a silvopasture will our 200 sheep/goats unit develop and reach equilibrium at 🤔
