Day 14. Let me be your patron saint of letting go.
Inspired by "Heavy" by Linkin Park.
The heavy eye makeup at the Vera Wang fall 2020 show added a wondrously strange contrast to the clothing which which Wang described as “lighter, a little bit easier, something with a charm and a lightness, a little athletic and esoteric.”
Day 10. Wish I had better lighting but I really wanted this bright springy look (to contrast the snow my city finally got). Got a compliment from a nice lady with green manicured nails, she loved the look, it was very sweet! Also I got v lazy about eyeliner last year and I'm honestly okay with it. Some days I even skip the mascara lol
Day 11 + Bonus. Y'all. I got so excited about getting my first ask and a handful of new followers that my excitement overpowered my actual ability to do makeup (plus I was just exhausted this morning.) So I started over twice, was running late, and ended up with this quick messy neutral tone look (because I clearly could not handle colors responsibly this morning lol). Not super polished but nice enough for work haha. And a bonus throwback from a day last year when I clearly had my crap more together 😆
But for real, the influx of notes made me so happy, and it's been amazing motivation for this project! Thank you all so much! 🖤
January 19, 2021. No work today and I was reminded yesterday how much I love axolotls, so here is my axolotl inspired eye makeup. Just fun and cute for the day off! I basically never use orange so this was an adventure. If I get a better peachy pink color sometime I will probably try this again. So proud of that clean white line across the bottom lid. January 26, 2021. Whew! It took me a while to get out of that funk, this is always a tough time of year. It's been snowing all day so I thought I would try an icy pale lavender look, I love how it came out! Definitely want to try some more white and pastel combinations. Also, I have to be honest, when I wear fancy makeup and this fluffy Chinook hat, I feel like a friggin snow princess lol. This is probably my second favorite look this month!
January 18, 2021. Stormy blue for work. I wish I had gotten a photo while it was fresher, the colors definitely over-blended after a full day of wear. Also my porch has great lighting in the daytime because of the soft gray walls, but I don't have good lighting anywhere in the evening lol. Also there was a bright shimmer of turquoise on the bottom lid but that's basically gone in the photo. Will have to try it again and get my photos quicker!
January 24, 2021. A little black and gold because it's one of my favorite wardrobe color combinations. This ended up way more subdued than I intended, should have used liquid black liner to make it more intense (but my liquid black is hard to remove and it was a day off.) Will have to try some more black and gold looks!
