This skirt used to be a favorite dress, something like 10-12 years old. The knit is rather delicate from age, so I've darned all the holes (there were A Lot), and reinforced the waistline with quilt binding the length of the widest point of my hips and elastic the length of the narrowest point of my waist. All of the alternations I've done on this we handsewn. I'm really happy with how flat the waist band came out, and it's so nice to extend the life this lovely pattern.
