February 18, 2022: Queen Letizia chaired a work meeting on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the Army Orphans Board, a private charity association attached to the Ministry of Defense and whose purpose is to welcome under its protection the orphans of Army soldiers and Common Defense Corps attached to it, providing them with the necessary support to achieve a livelihood appropriate to their intellectual conditions and personal circumstances.
Once the meeting was over, and after signing the Book of Honor, Letizia went to the Board Room to hold a brief meeting with a representation of protected orphans and some relatives. Next, the director of the Board of Orphans presented Doña Letizia with a painting as a reminder of her participation in the work meeting, and then a group photograph was taken on the main staircase of the building, thus ending the activity.
