Good news, I was writing main novel stuff! But here's another snippet from my "Chapter Zero" story, aka "The Funeral". Snippet: "Thank you," I said, and meant it. "That'll be appreciated. I'm in your debt." Anaïca's eyes went wide for a half-second before she said, calmly, "My Lord, I didn't mean to imply debt or obligation. It was just a gesture." It took me a second to remember I was an Arcana, not just a paunchy man in pajamas. "Well, it's not like I'm going to hunt down your enemies or anything. It's just a thank you."

Despedida

Me siento mal que no se haya despedido bonito, pero por qué? C tampoco nunca se despidió bonito y es mi mejor amigo. Siento que eso nunca me importó, pero ahora por qué lo siento así?

Será que es porque aquí todos hacen un esfuerzo para despedirse bien por fiestas? Será que es porque se dio su tiempo para despedirse por otras personas? Será que él cree que nos veremos mañana? Siento que estoy haciendo un esfuerzo por las puras, siento verdaderamente que no debería importarme, siento que lo estoy comenzando a ver especial porque todo el mundo lo hace especial.

Soy fiel creyente que no es la persona. Es un conjunto de cosas. Supongo que hoy me despediré de An y será tranquilo. Hay ese muchacho. Siento que debería alejarme de él. Después de lo que pasó, no me parece que podemos ser amigos. Aunque tal vez, ahora que tengo una convicción más clara de lo que quiero, esas cosas no van a volver a pasar.
