Robron Fanfiction Recommendations (Apr-2025)

A deal Nicola has been trying to close appears to be a success with Robert… that is until the client shows his ugly homophobic self and doesn’t want his business ‘tainted’ by his ilk. Afterward, Robert admit to a supportive Aaron this has happened before when he hadn’t yet crossed paths with the Whites (early missing years callout).

Robert and Aaron are put through the wringer in this one. The lads are together again after that woman left the village having lost the baby. It’s been months but Robert is still affected by the loss of the baby (Ollie) and blaming himself for having it occurred but keeps it bottled. Still, Aaron wants a baby of their own and, through surrogacy, Annie is born. Aaron is over the moon but Robert’s moods swing from detached to panic to indifference over Annie. Unfortunately, Robert bottling of his emotions leads to his putting Annie in danger more than once. Robert sees it as karma if he loses Aaron or can’t love Annie properly. What will it take to get Robert the help he desperately needs before he loses his family?

The Prodigal Husband Returns (2019) 22.5K words, robron_til_the_end

Reunion 3.0. Robert was sentenced to eight years for GBH with intent. It’s now five years later and Robert is free. After a few days to get himself together, Robert returns to the village to find Aaron is involved with a paramedic (relatively new so irrelevant bloke) and worried he wants to take Sebastian away from. After reassuring Aaron that is not the case, Robert begins to bond with Sebastian while also getting closer to a still skittish of being hurt Aaron. They have cheerleaders in Chas (definitely AU) and Nicola.

Adam and Vic separately manage to convince Aaron and Robert respectively to be each other’s date (blind) to their wedding. Unfortunately, first impressions do not turn out well courtesy of Andy and Katie…

Breaking Free (2018) 6.5K words, TurquoiseTerrior

Alternative take on the must miss Lachlan/that woman in the woods mess. Here, Lachlan took an unconscious Robert to the woods and played minds games on him to believe he was held for longer than it was. The bulk of the story though is Robert’s rescue and the aftermath in hospital with Aaron (who never gave up on him) by his side and others happy he made it out alive.
