Hi guys!

So far this year, I’ve gotten into 3 different parked vehicles that aren’t mine. I really need to pay attention. 2 things go through my mind each time: 1) thank goodness the vehicle is empty; and 2) people should lock up to prevent a distracted woman from getting into their vehicles. However, in my defense, all the vehicles resembled mine in color and size. So there.

Current audiobook: Beautiful Ugly by Alice Feeney. It’s a psychological thriller.

I’m kidding.

I just purchased a puzzle table. It took me forever to finally invest in one. I kept talking myself out of it. So, now for the first time in a very long time, I’m working on a jigsaw puzzle. I forgot how addicting it can be.

Lately, I’ve been going to thrift shops. It’s been great. It’s not that I discovered big finds. It’s more about getting myself out there and doing stuff that I used to love doing alone, like, eating at restaurants, going to museums, farmer markets, movies, and more.

I found a vintage shop, Stardust Vintage Emporium, and I had a few emotional moments as I browsed through the large inventory because it reminded me of my childhood. So many memories. They have the coolest inventory, like the same metal address book dad used to have and the jewelry box mom had for years, and they had a few of those cool vintage lucite grapes! The vintage furniture was in great shape. I felt like I was in the Brady Bunch Show. Do y’all know that show?

Lately, I’ve been watching King of the Hill because I want to see the newest season, but not until I watch every episode before the newest ones. I’ve got a ways to go. Right now, I’m on the last episode of season 8. I find it hard to believe that Peggy Hill’s shoe size is 16!

August 28, 2025: King Felipe and Queen Letizia visited the areas affected by the fires in Galicia.

They visited the Coordination Center of the 14th Forest District in Verín, a damaged livestock farm in Cualedro, and the Medeiros public school in Monterrei. There, they learned firsthand about the damage suffered and the needs of the affected residents. They also expressed their gratitude to all the teams that helped fight the fire and protect the population.
