The Pivot Year - Brianna West
@aniko
I feel like my vibe these days is just “do your thing.” Come at me however you want — rude, disrespectful, cruel, inconsiderate, immature. It’s all good with me. I will assess and react accordingly.
Isn't it funny how life works out? Last year I was begging this guy to go with me to a Ghibli film, I wanted him to like me so bad.
This year, a friend just sent me a text about a Ghibli fest and how we should hit several of the films together. Bottom line: Don't chase. Your people will find you.
it's so wild how, when you see someone's true colors, you can't unsee them. like, once someone shows you who they are and what they value and how much they actually respect you, you just can't un-know that. it changes how you see them forever.
i know i'm being like petty and stuff on main but whatever. it's been a tough couple of months.
people need to have both the capacity AND the desire to understand you in order for you to feel seen.
I think people confuse "letting go" with "moving on." I may have let you go and pulled back from you or even removed you from my life entirely, but that doesn't mean it was easy. I'm not necessarily over it, but I'm doing what I need to do to take care of myself.
