A BLESSING OR DESTRUCTION? As dark, menacing clouds slowly gathered over the city most people were in awe: Was this going to mean that rain was coming? And just like weather stations had reported, the answer was ‘YES’. This would mean that people would finally be able to see rain again, the soil would get watered naturally and it might be the first sign of the climate getting back to ‘normal’.
But don’t underestimate the force of nature – with winds up to 48km/h (causes light damage: pushes over shallow-rooted trees, twisting damage to signs, weak roofings lift, windows may blow out and aircrafts are grounded) and heavy rain of 30mm of rainfall per hour. POWER FAILURE MIGHT MOST LIKELY OCCUR!
CITIZENS ARE WARNED –– staying indoors is heavily recommended and citizens who reside in the outskirts should be looking for shelter.
