Made my own prohibition au that fits (sort of) into the larger Victorianstuck au. Dave runs liquor and John's dad owns a tobacco shop that fronts for a speakeasy. John's cute enough to stop the cops from sniffing around the shop and his relationship with Dave makes for a good reason to have him in and out every day or so. John also plays piano for the bar, Dave likes to stick around to hear him play.
Eridan ===> Recover
Eridan woke with a groan, peeling his face off of the desk he’d been working at last night. Buttoning his vest, the lawman growled under his breath.
“Fuckin’ Pyropes left me here again. And I bet they got a kick out of it, too. They’re lucky their ma practically runs our justice department.”
Leaving the police department, Eridan tucked the city PD badge into his pocket and made for the nearest restaurant. Slumping into a booth, he debated the worth of all the effort he’d been putting into this case
