Happy #AlohaTuesday! 13 years ago I was introduced to the Hypersquad family when they called Waipio their home under @newkon. Since then, I've gone through hours of dance classes, seen dancers go through the ranks from eeneeminees all the way to Academy of Hype. Endless nights of rehearsals for numerous concerts and competitions that have come and gone, and everything about the studio STILL excites me to this day. In 2005, I was given an opportunity by Jason to be an assistant choreographer. I learned the difference between being a dancer, and stepping up to being a choreographer. There was so much for me to learn, and it took me years to be a confident choreographer and dancer. Now, 11 years later, I'm given another opportunity by Jason. I am excited and extremely humbled to help lead #Hypersquad into 2017 as their newly elected Director along side @hazmathype. There is a whole new chaper of learning for me and I'm willing to go through each page with our staff and our students. I'm hoping that with this opportunity, I'll be able to get Hypersquad more involved into the community and back into the national spotlight. Hawaii's talent has grown exponentially over the years and as one of the core dance studios here in Hawaii, we've been able to shape them into amazing dancers. My goal is not only that, but to help develop them into amazing and responsible people and to remind them that with passion and a clear vision, you can achieve anything. Thank you to everyone for their continued support of Hypersquad, for our staff, our choreographers, our dancers, and most importantly... for each other. Let's head into 2017 with a positive attitude and let's stay hungry for success. Here's to another 20 more years of Hype. #WeMakeThemGreat #HS4L #20YearsOfHype #KeepItPositive #DancingEngineer #DanceCommunity (at Hypersquad Dance Company)
