during Genetics lecture was about the inheritance of the "rare human syndrome" that causes people to be Hokies fans and had these two questions on it.
"If individuals A & B have an illicit affair (perhaps after a game in which JMU beats the Hokies 21 to 16), what is the probability their love child would be a Hokies Fan?"
"If individuals C & D have children, what proportion of their children would NOT be a Hokies Fan (righteous!)?"
I get the feeling that Dr. Halsell really doesn't like the Hokies. After all, on our first exam, she had a problem where the wild-type allele exhibits the Duke Dog phenotype and the "horrifying mutant allele generates a Hokies phenotype".
took my first genetics exam today...
one of the questions was set up as: "We are studying the JMU gene. The horrible detrimental mutant phenotype is the Hokie phenotype".
My professor has a good sense of humor.
