My child’s movements on the bed on which I was meditating didn’t exactly disturb. Yet, I couldn’t quite surrender to the technique completely. Half a surrender ! Kept telling myself that I am not required to respond to another’s movements right now. This benign shuffling doesn’t require my attention. Some Pavlovian responses need new wiring before a whole hearted surrender.
Of course, the wild within sees the surrender as a threat. This surrender naturally means a change that will starve the wild within to feed the calm within. Which is probably why I am unable to remember this morning that I must ‘meditate all the time’. Having said that, I got to close this post and remember Him. Sigh.
