Curator William Corwin (@william_corwin) explains that "several worked at the League or were involved in the New York art scene in a capacity that they contributed to the art environment in subtle but important ways."⠀ ⠀ She was directly connected with the Ab Ex scene of New York in the 1950s, having "joined the ranks of its leading avant-garde members, while developing close friendships with the movement's pioneers like Jackson Pollock and Lee Krasner."
