Today is the last day of the #21daysofmyartworld challenge. The prompt today is to share a big dream. I’ve shared the book idea here so I’ll share another one...big abstract paintings. That may not sound like a big dream, but it’s a big shift. In this new year, after a hectic holiday season, I want to slow down, be more thoughtful, and paint some big abstracts. I took a couple of workshops last fall and haven’t had much time to practice what I’ve learned. Large paintings take so much longer and require more paint and more layers. What’s appealing about abstracts is the focus on color, shape, line, and texture. It’s actually a heck of a lot harder than it looks, but I also find it freeing. I’ll still be painting what I usually do as well, because as I said yesterday, I do know what I like!So here goes nothing... https://www.instagram.com/p/B7y51capX-T/?igshid=1qgsrjpo4ir74
