I went for a walk tonight. Found a bench & lit a cigarette. Was sort of singing to myself and heard a rustling sound from behind the wall next to me. A doe poked her head out from some bushes and made eye contact with me. I kept singing & sat very still so I wouldn't scare her. She cautiously walked around me & the bench, while maintaining eye contact. When I turned around to see where she was going, I saw the moon as well. It's not full anymore but it's still huge and sort of yellow. It was gorgeous. She crossed some roads and headed off in another direction. What a lovely encounter.
