We stole the Eagle from the Air Force, the Rope from the Army and the Anchor From the Navy. Upon the seventh day, when God rested, we over ran his position and have been protecting the Globe ever since.
240 years ago today this great nation, was gifted dogs of war to unleash on it’s foes. The country beats us, mistreats us, and doesn’t normally feed us enough. But now and then they let us go to attack the neighbors. So there are some perks to it. We earned the name Devil Dogs in WWI, took Iwo Jima and it was said we would last another thousand years, because of that flag raising. We held and marched out of the Chosin Reservoir, taking the Army’s dead and wounded with us. One Marine division faced five Chinese and butchered them. Annihilating two, and cause three to be mauled beyond reconstitution. In the jungles of Vietnam we held Kah San and destroyed the North Vietnamese on it’s walls. We assaulted the Republican Guard so ferociously that Stormin’ Norman had to push up his time table on the famous left hook. We ran roughshod in Grenade all over the north of the Island with two companies. And for a second time, we stormed the deserts of Iraq, taking Baghdad in what was the longest over land charge in Marine Corps history. Afghanistan, felt the wrath of the Bulldog and all of this within 240 years.
