i heard about this tiktok travesty of a wuthering heights movie and immediately came here for the support i knew i would find from english lit tumblr…thank you friends i feel justified in my absolute hatred of this film that doesn’t even exist yet. what a dumpster fire of an idea. trash doesn’t even begin to describe how i feel about that
idk about y’all but i want a verosika episode. im just so obsessed with the relationship she and blitz have in the present day, and she’s given as the example of the most significant romantic relationship in his life before stolas. like she got close enough to have intimate knowledge about his insecurities and his sister and knows these things hurt him. the stuff about barb is NOT something he tells just anyone; he barely tells stolas in sinsmas. but blitz clearly told her at some point because she made a jab at him about it and he 1) didn’t question why she knew barb was in rehab and 2) knows verosika well enough to understand it was just a jab and doesn’t bother asking follow-up questions. clearly at one point, he trusted her. they’re that level of mean to each other because they were heavily emotionally involved.
but he also hurt her so bad that she throws a party every year to support, and get support from, other people he’s fucked over. he literally failed to keep a relationship with a succubus to just sex. they both insult each other like no one else on the show can. she’s the only one who’s there for stolas and for blitz when they’re breaking up. she’s ultimately the one who calls blitz on his shit because she knows him. he feels safe and seen enough with her to finally admit he wants to change. they have such a mentally ill thing going on i love them and want to see more of them ugh
