I have to chaperone a school dance tonight, so I can’t update live.
“in which what’s known to be perfection becomes the most destructive”
Facts:
1. Jimin, Jin, and Namjoon know each other previously.
2. Namjoon has been in the competition before. He says it will be “beneficial” for him and his friends to enter.
3. Jimin signs the three of them up.
4. Something has happened in the past so people A. Don’t smile much anymore B. There are family members in hospitals or who are gone C. There aren’t many young people left. 4A. People have come out of the competition “smiling” before.
5. Jimin and Jin both have debts (student loans, family debts, hospital bills).
6. Jimin is always late to things that are his idea.
7. They have to “live in there for a day” in order to win the money.
8. Everyone’s idea of perfection is different, to each VR will be different. Namjoon says some people like pain. Namjoon says the government is using the VR to “shape reality’s future.” Namjoon says the “government is looking for someone who has the same idea of perfection as them.” Namjoon says the is a “way to silence people.”
9. There are “around 12″ contestants. (The other 5~ are random and probably not going to appear in the story, Flirtaus says).
10. Namjoon tells Jin to “have hope.” Namjoon also says it’s “luck” that they get in.
11. They had to send in pictures. (Of course they’re all flawless ones).
12. Namjoon recognizes Hoseok’s name. (Maybe he was in the contest last time with him, too? Or the name was planted in Namjoon’s head last time he was in?)
13. Namjoon recognizes Tae’s name. (Maybe he was in the contest last time with him, too? Or the name was planted in Namjoon’s head last time he was in?)
14. Jungkook is the first to be picked. (I smell a bias).
15. Namjoon is the last to be picked (before unnamed characters).
16. Jin wants to be a barista. (Ha, “Run” ep. 45 fans going nuts with fan fic ideas already).
17. Namjoon and Jimin have had “faith in Jin” since “day one” (day one of meeting him? of birth? of whatever this “catastrophe” was?)
18. At 8:41pm Jin says “and I’m gonna be able to.” Jimin responds “able to give back after all the sacrifices they made.” Is Jimin finishing Jin’s thought, or does Jimin just want to do something similar for his own parents?
19. Jin’s parents are sleeping (at 8:40pm??).
20. Jin wants to help “her” and see his parents again soon (where are they?) (Update: Flirtaus said we’ll find out who “her” is later. I figured, as nothing is random here!!).
21. Jimin’s mom “saved him” from “that catastrophe.”
22. Jin doesn’t want to go in early.
23. Jin got in trouble for not going in early. (What).
24. Namjoon didn’t bother to tell Jin that “they’re stern around here.” (Rude).
25. “They’re ready to set us up and send us off.” (Shippers: Oh, I’ve already set you all up, I got this).
26. A not-super-helpful background on the “catastrophe.”
27. Flirtaus thinks we’re all idiots.
28. None of the characters are antagonists (then why did she ask who we suspect?? “It impacts Jin,” she says. Hmmmm, I say!).
29. The timer has already started, even though the game “hasn’t begun yet.” Another character is “under pressure” already, meaning someone else has probably already started their game, and the time effects them all. (It’s totally already begun, we’re all doomed).
30. Flirtaus as already seen a theory that is correct.
31. Jin is injected with a fluid to help with sleep and hunger and thirst. Key words “real body.”
32. Some of the liquid was still visible, though, so the doctor didn’t inject it all for some reason. (Perhaps the liquid doesn’t matter at all?)
33. Jin is going to be more cautious around Jimin now due to our decision.
34. Jin told the doctor about the fluid and got +1 Good.
35. The VR texted Jin asking what his idea of perfect was. After Jin replied, the VR said “idiot.” And Jin said nothing. Jin, my boy, come on, man, that’s just weird. IDIOT. Also it said “CREATING YOU.”
36. Jin did NOT type “Done.”
37. After entering his happy VR (ha, suurreeee), someone approached Jin asking for help. The man was the “same height but younger” than him. (Is it his younger self?).
38. Jin’s phone is connected to someone who won’t tell him who he is but said he “got put in here before I was finished.” Put in the VR? Before he finished creating his perfect world? Is this the same guy that just asked Jin for help? Does anyone know anything? (no).
39. Jin didn’t pressure the guy, and the guy told him something anyway--that he’s seeing things he shouldn’t and that he shouldn’t be in this world.
40. TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES.
41. J-Hope is the man Jin is texting.
42. J-Hope thinks Jin’s idea of perfection is “dull.”
43. J-Hope didn’t know what to type in for his idea of perfection and didn’t know why it mattered.
44. J-Hope says that “two positive make a negative, or negative can overpower a positive.”
45. Jin notices that time has passed--there are 23:15 left.
46. There is a crowd of people nearby--Jin wants to go near them, J-Hope wants to avoid them and go “outside the city.” (Where will be more clues?) (It’s reminding me of Ready Player One suddenly. It’s best to go outside in that case).
47. Jin and J-Hope went down different paths. We chose to follow J-Hope.
48. J-Hope hears voices.
49. After Jin and J-Hope split up, it’s Sunny where J-Hope is and Dark where Jin is.
Ideas/Questions/Theories:
1. Of course they think it is Virtual Reality (VR), but we can assume it’s not that simple. They will have to fight for their lives and survive in the VR to survive in real life.
2. It’s some form of government brain washing (they come out smiling/the government wants them all to have the same idea of perfection, etc.)
3. Namjoon knows more than he’s letting on. Duh.
4. The time definitely matters. Pay attention to that.
5. At one point Jin says he’s going to “hear out for [Namjoon’s] name.” Is this a typo, or a weird code? Does he mean “listen” instead? I’m still thinking of Outcast too much, I’m sure.
6. It’s weird that Jin says to Jimin that his parents are asleep but then wants to see them again soon. Are they dead and he hopes to see them in his “perfect” world in the VR? Did he lie to Jimin? If his parents are dead, how does Jimin not know at this point if they’re friends?
7. Jin is the “perfect” member of BTS, so he’ll become the most destructive (JK, Flirtaus has said before it’s their names but not their personalities, ha).
8. After Jin got +1 Good for telling the doctor about the fluid left, I’m beginning to think that Flirtaus is playing us and we actually want BAD points because “in which what is known as perfection becomes the most destructive.” WHAT.
9. Day three of the AU and I literally have no idea what’s going on.
My choices:
1. “How much time do you need to make Jin’s choice?” 5 minutes. (Because time is precious here).
2. “What should Jin do?? Wait for others. (Because it’s still 5 minutes before it officially starts. Because he and Namjoon need to be on the same page about their ideas of perfection if they want to be in the same VR. On the other hand, even if they share ideas, they won’t be exactly the same, so they won’t be in the same VR. OR it’s all rigged and they’re all in the same VR no matter what. So why not wait?)
Wrong choice. +1 Bad because a guard caught him. Jimin was late (as expected). What about Namjoon? (Update: Apparently he was already there...way to keep us updated, Joon).
3. “How many minutes do you need to make Jin’s decision?” 5 minutes (Because time is still precious).
4. “What should Jin do”? Go to the preparation room. (Because Namjoon was doing that, and he’s done this before. On the other hand, Namjoon could be A. Lying B. Brainwashed and leading us astray.)
Neutral choice. Did we miss valuable information? Or is Flirtaus just messing with us again? At least Jin isn’t in trouble.
We missed valuable information on another contestant, apparently. Double oops.
5. “Who are you more suspicious of?” Jimin. (Because he signed them up and was late. But he’s always late.)
6. “How many minutes do you need to make Jin’s decision?” 10 minutes (Because time is precious).
7. “What should Jin do?” Not tell. (Because I do not trust these people. If the serum is a brain washing thing or something to knock Jin out from being able to tell reality from VR, then he doesn’t need it all! Also, if he says something he may get in trouble again. I just don’t trust this doctor, y’all.)
Telling was the right decision, oops. Enough people chose it, so +1 Good.
8. “How many minutes do you need to make Jin’s decision?” 10 minutes (Time still matters, and there’s no way we’ll actually listen to each other and communicate. Who does Flirtaus think we are?) (Also, I know some people are pointing out that she said if we’re planning to always chose the least amount of time it won’t work. I’m bad at math, so her tweet didn’t make much sense to me.) (Also Flirtaus said we have 24 hours to help all 7 guys escape. WHAT IS THE TRUTH??)
9. “What should Jin do?” Help him (I’m too altruistic, yikes, this guy could straight up stab Jin for all I know) (Why would anyone need help in a perfect world? If this goes wrong, then my idea of Bad=Good and Good=Bad might be right, and we should do everything Jin wouldn’t do from now on. In short, what our instinct is would be wrong, so we should go against our gut feeling when it comes to what Jin would do).
The guy said he pushed “Done” and wants to go back. Does pushing “Done” mean they are “Done” with the real world?
10. “How many minutes do you need to make Jin’s decision?” 10 minutes (Because I guess we should not always pick the smallest amount? But who actually would stand there for 10 minutes before answering? Ha. Imagine how flustered the guy would be staring at Jin for 10 minutes).
11. “What should Jin do?” Ask him why he’s afraid. (Because we need more clues. I guess it could go “Bad” if the guy attacks him or freaks out or scares him, but otherwise we need more information).
+1 Bad because the guy did freak out and even slapped Jin’s hand. Jin “recognized him from somewhere,” meaning he’s either A. One of the other contestants. B. Himself when younger. C. Namjoon’s version who was here the last time. D. IDK y’all.
12. “How many minutes do you need to make Jin’s decision?” 5 minutes.
13. “What should Jin do?” Don’t pressure him (because I doubt everything now. I would pressure him--well, nicely--so I’m going to do the opposite--but since I doubt it I should probably have pressured him. Look, Fliratus is out to make us doubt everything we see and think and do and she’s good at this).
Yaaaa, we did something right! +1 Good. This guy told Jin he’s not in the world he created (he’s in Jin’s? Or they’re all in the same world, is what I’m thinking. No one is in his own world, they’re all in the government’s).
14. “How many minutes do you need to make Jin’s choice” 10 minutes.
15. “What should Jin do”? Go outside the city (Trusting J-Hope may be wrong, but his gut feeling could be right to avoid people. The last person we encountered slapped Jin, so I’m not in love with these people. Also, if it’s anything like Ready Player One, we should explore outside).
+1 Good (YAY!). J-Hope trusts Jin a bit more.
16. “How many minutes do you need to make Jin’s choice?” 10 minutes.
17. “Which way should they go: left or right?” Right. (It ended up being 50/50, so they SPLIT UP OH NO THE WORSE)
18. Which path do you want to take? J-Hope (We’ve been following Jin for awhile, so let’s follow J-Hope! At one point we’d want to anyway, so I think this would be ok...).
19. “How many minutes do you need to make J-Hope’s choice?” 20 minutes (Because I’m at work and should really be paying attention, ha).
15 minutes won.
20. “What should J-Hope do?” Stay on the path. (Jin did last time and that was good; so I’m going with not approaching anyone this time. Probably...)
+1 Good YEET. J-Hope doesn’t want to lose Jin (Which makes no sense, as they’re on separate paths...)
21. “What would you do if you were J-Hope?” Go back to Jin. (Because we never should have split up anyway).
24 hours and I get my hubby back!! I have no idea why but this trip has been harder for me than all the others. Granted he's been gone for 10ish days, but still I should be used to it. But we get him for nearly 3 weeks and I'm sure we will be sick of eachother by then! I miss you honey hurry home! #lifeofatravelingsalesman #missinmyhubby #24hoursleft
