I couldn't stand Matt Lucas as Thenardier. His scratchy voice, random squeaks when he was singing and unnecessary ad-libs were so grating and he played the character as a bumbling, over-the-top comic farce who couldn't lead a toy dog on wheels never mind a feared gang of criminals.

Also apropos of the 25AC, I am wondering about one of the flag-wavers at the end of One Day More. At house right is Mat Seadon-Young, in the middle is David Covey, but is that Mark Dugdale waving the flag at house left? (If so, what fun in terms of having a Courfeyrac, a Combeferre, and a Prouvaire waving the flags from left to right behind the main cast.)

I'd lost this video somehow and am so happy to have found it again: 25AC footage of Drink with Me that shows Grantaire shrugging off Enjolras' hold before the facestroking (at 1:15). Of course, it cuts to the other side of the stage right when the facestroking begins, but one can't have everything.
