Day 8: In the year 2018 i said i wouldn’t be going home to NJ. They only person to visit me so far has been my sister. I was so appreciative she took the time to come see me and see my life and family in Providence. #pvdpride #providence #appericationpost #25to25

Day 2: One of my great loves are comics, specifically The X-men and most importantly today’s appreciation; the character Storm. I remember the first time I saw Storm was in the animated 90’s cartoon. I had never seen a black super hero before. She not only welded great power, but she was strong, wise, caring, commanding, and was fierce. I was in awe. I’m thankful for her being a positive image of blackness and woman hood in the world of comics and for giving black nerds a hero to stan for. She shows there is a space for POC in comics and that stereotypes don’t have to be followed to be popular. . . . For my birthday this year I’m challenging myself to recognize all the things I’m appreciative for in my life. I’ll be counting down 25 days till my 25th and sharing something each day.🎉🎂 . . .
